  1. OK, thanks. Also, the scene with Kathleen Turner was awesome - not hard to see why she became a movie star!!
  2. Plus, they could have done a story with The Banner being in trouble like the rest of the newspapers in real life - and doing what they had to do to stay afloat. I'd take a story like that any day over DID.
  3. A writer and an actress who have an affair and then co-create a soap? That sounds like a soap in and of itself!!
  4. It got worse? How is that possible? LOL
  5. It would be fun to see Leanna Love pop up again - easily the most entertaining soap character in Barbara Crampton's resume.
  6. That is indeed a lovely tribute. Thank you for posting it.
  7. That whole Clint/Lindsay thing just seemed to come out of left field. Besides, didn't Clint Ritchie quit the show right around that same time? Why exactly DID he leave after almost 20 years on OLTL? That I don't know.
  8. See, this is what made the soaps of yore, especially the ones based in NYC, so great. They actually hired trained ACTORS and not mere MODELS. What a concept!!!
  9. That music was hilarious. If you know anyone in need of a good laugh, forward them those links. LOL!!!
  10. Yeah, she quit while the going was still somewhat good. Still, I wonder how she would have done playing the alters. I think Erin would've made it work. What do you all think?
  11. Holy cow, what was up with Diana's hair in that clip? It looks like a clown wig - except without with the rainbow colors. I know this was the 80s - but geesh!!!
  12. Thanks for sharing that clip! Whoa - you'd never see a man slapping a woman on TV now, even if the man and woman in question are siblings.
  13. May he RIP...that makes him the second Capitol actor to pass on this year (Dane Witherspoon passed on at the end of March).
  14. I'd love to read Sharon Farrell's book. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. Which season did he slap her? What did she do to provoke him? (Sorry, I'm not very familiar with KL past the first couple of seasons.) Sid's oldest child, from his first marriage, meanwhile (the one played by Karen Allen in the pilot) is on the Island of Misfit TV Characters along with Chuck Cunningham, Judy Winslow, Carl Dixon, etc....
  16. Eric was the one married to Linda, right? She had an affair with Michael while wed to his brother? Or was it the other way around?
  17. Yeah, you could count them as Fairgates. When I said three, I meant Karen and Sid's kids. With the exception of Brian, the other characters were never recast, were they? I don't think they recast after Steve Shaw's tragic passing but did they ever say what happened to Eric in the storyline?
  18. For all of you out there, which of the three Fairgate kids did you like the most?
  19. Never knew Lipton wrote EON. I'm guessing that was pre-Henry Slesar?
  20. I don't know, but I do recall that the Rachel/Alice/Liz scene at the house with Alice getting ready to attack Rachel was on YT at one time, but that was several years ago. I'd love to see it again, too.
  21. Oh, the next episode (8/20) features Martha Wash.
  22. Mrs. Therese Lamonte was played by the late, great Nancy Marchand - pre-Lou Grant and pre-Sopranos.
