  1. I said coming up on 20 years - but weren't Robin and Stone already going together (thus the story beginning to unfold) in 1994?
  2. That scene breaks my heart every time. They picked the perfect music for it, too. Let me know about the article.
  3. Yup, and we're also coming up on 20 years on the Robin/Stone AIDS story.
  4. My mom, who watched Y&R when I was born (in the pre-VCR days, and worked full-time until I came along), had to follow the story by lip-reading (this was also pre-closed captioning). She still remembers "the four sisters", but not their names, and MTS and EB when they first came on the Genoa City scene. That must have been something else!!
  5. Interesting article - and of course, the stakes are so much higher now.
  6. No doubt she used a lot of her book money on decorating. LOL
  7. Or revive a few of them!! Hire the vets who are willing and able!!
  8. Yes - yet another P&G soap to waste the talents of the wonderful Petronia Paley (Vivian Grant).
  9. Thanks for posting these treasures featuring the late, great Sherry Mathis - who would be 65 if she were still with us today. Sadly, the clips of her from 1979 (singing at the piano, fighting off a snake - and then the diabolical Nick [played by her own future husband, Jerry Lanning], romantic walking on the beach with Travis) are gone from YT - I think the person who posted them deleted their account. I still have the 2006 issue of Memphis magazine with the feature on the lovely actress/songbird. I have the first few pages scanned but need to scan the rest. I don't have Photobucket or anything like that, so maybe I can just email it to Carl and he can put it on his Photobucket and then post it here. She did so much singing in her career - and it's absolutely criminal that barely ANYTHING she sang is available. No doubt P&G has some of her finest performances on SFT locked up in a vault someplace and won't share it with the public - that is, if they didn't already record over the tapes. Too bad they can't - or won't - do an on-demand DVD service for their soaps.
  10. It's nice to know that there are still folks who care about when soaps were GOOD!!
  11. That whole story first aired 20 years ago. Time flies!!
  12. That's awesome - thanks for the heads up!!
  13. That's so sweet. Thanks for uploading the clip!!
  14. I'm glad they made the switch from film to tape. SUN was a show that just didn't work with the film look. Thankfully, they figured that out pretty quick and went to tape in fairly short order.
  15. She doesn't look all that much different now than she did in her GH debut!!
  16. Those 70s clips are great - and what soaps should STILL be!!!
  17. I thought "Uncle Porkchop"'s bond with his niece Hayley was the sweetest thing.
  18. OK, maybe I confused them with Caleb and Julie, who did return for the wedding - but I thought Seth and Angel were there, too. Does anyone know for sure?
  19. So was Lance just a rebound for Lorie after Mark? How long before he discovered the truth?
  20. Thanks, SoapDope. I'm glad he seems to have found a fulfilling career teaching acting.
  21. That scene of Lorie making faces at her mother-in-law through the two-way mirror sounds priceless. No doubt she was doing what many women would like to do to their own mothers-in-law...LOL
