  1. No matter how many writers/producers there were, the Bob/Susan affair was never forgotten, Kim never forgot it, and therefore the audience never forgot it. At least that was ONE point of continuity that went on until the end.
  2. Those scenes between Beverlee McKinsey and Vincent Irizarry are pure gold. No wonder to this day he sings her praises and credits her with helping him grow as an actor.
  3. Besides, that's a candid taken at the beach - not a photo shoot. She looks perfectly natural and healthy for her age.
  4. Kim and Susan remained enemies right to the end, if I'm not mistaken.
  5. 5 years already. Where does the time go?
  6. Thank you, Carl! I especially love watching soap episodes from the 70s. It really does feel like a bygone era.
  7. I'm sorry, Carl, I meant what year was the episode you posted with Kim, Bob, Jay, Carol, etc.?
  8. That makes sense, because that's when the Conboy-helmed Capitol debuted.
  9. Yeah, I was just going to mention Liza/Travis - and the pairing of Liza and her first husband, Steve (Michael Nouri) was also extremely popular.
  10. Thank you so much for posting these, Carl. How I wish I could actually see these storylines, especially the earliest days of the Liza/Travis romance. I wonder if ANYONE has them available.
  11. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like a lot longer than 4 years. Then tomorrow marks 5 years since GL last aired.
  12. At least Beverlee cared about the integrity of her character, as did the fans. Too bad the writers/producers/P&G/CBS didn't feel the same way.
  13. She needed a mature man, and while David was good for a sidekick role (think Vivian and Ivan on DAYS) - I don't think a real romance was plausible in the long run.
  14. Carl, what year was that vintage episode from that you just posted?
  15. Definitely - hasn't changed a bit.
  16. I don't know, but how long did Trevor and KC's Janet last as a couple before she left the show?
  17. I wonder if Joseph C. Phillips was ever approached about coming back. He just had such presence and strength, even when Justus was doing some pretty unethical things.
  18. Some stories (and characters) are best left in the past - where people like RC can't ruin them!!
  19. Does anyone know why James Kiberd and Kate Collins disliked each other so intently? He also started off on the wrong foot with his leading lady on his previous soap (Loving), and after the audition told the producers they shouldn't hire her. But the animosity between the two gradually turned into love - and the last I heard, James Kiberd and Susan Keith are still married nearly 30 years later.
  20. I'll always first and foremost remember Paul Korver for...CHiPs '99. LOL
  21. Thank you! I assume this was shortly before Linda Dano went to AW.
  22. OK, I do recall reading that story now. Thanks for the refresher!!
  23. I know what you mean about the "incestuous" vibe of soap writers. It does seem like the same ones have been on every soap at least once. LOL
