  1. Yes, that was Jay Avocone in Cruising - I believe that movie came before his time on SFT. But I couldn't find any listing for Curt Dawson on SFT.
  2. Yup, and then HBM itself didn't last past the summer of '79.
  3. Thank you for confirming that. Was it Maeve's choice to leave EON second time around? If she had stayed, and if the show had still hired Lori Loughlin as Jody Travis, I bet she would have been a long-lost daughter of Nicole's rather than her younger half-sister.
  4. One of the greatest underrated characters ever in soapdom. I'm sure you'll do everything in your power to make sure he enjoys his stay!!
  5. Did Mary O'Brien play Heather before or after Georganne LaPiere?
  6. Who could blame her for being hurt? I certainly would have been. Also, thanks to cassadine1991 for posting the link about Curt Dawson.
  7. Yes - they wanted to merge the two shows (before, each show had been alternating on Sunday nights) and the role of Nancy would be minimized. At the same time, Shaun Cassidy's singing career was at its white hot peak. The producers and ABC wanted to capitalize on that as much as possible.
  8. LOL at the Annie Hall comment. I think that was indeed around the time that movie came out, and was inspiring women to dress like Diane Keaton did in the masculine clothes.
  9. I know Curt Dawson was also on AW. Didn't he pass away young and under tragic circumstances?
  10. I've always liked Mark LaMura. He just has that Everyman thing going on, and I think it served him well on AMC.
  11. Good question. But Andy and Molly worked as good friends - SD had a natural and easy chemistry with Lesli Kay.
  12. Well, the circumstances of PSM vacating the role of Nancy Drew were a pretty different. Nolan Miller also went way back with Aaron Spelling - I think they began working together in the late '50s/early '60s.
  13. Today (9/25) would have been Christopher Reeve's 62nd birthday. He played Ben Harper for 2-3 years before being chosen to play Superman - and the rest is history.
  14. Thanks for sharing all those articles. I especially loved the Stevens/Marlowe article.
  15. It is realistic in a way, because some people never get over an indiscretion and keep bringing it up. I will give them that.
  16. You're right, I'd forgotten there was another Liza between Bennett and Mathis. Thanks.
  17. Thanks - did she play out the birth scenes and the marriage to Miles, or did the next actress do that?
  18. The Liza/Travis cover is posted on the previous page without the address label. It had a good feature article on the couple, too. I wonder how much longer Michael Nouri stayed on SFT after Meg Bennett left, since Sherry Mathis had taken over Liza before he left himself.
  19. I like that Iris cover with the Christmas theme. I'd never seen it before.
  20. Was that Sarah Felder's only cover?
  21. She was also in a MOW with James Farentino and a pre-SB Kerry Sherman from 1979 called Son-Rise. Last I checked, it was still on YT. It's worth a watch - based on a true story and well-acted.
  22. Awww, love the one that has Erika Slezak's dog. Too cute.
  23. That's a great picture of Susan Lucci and Richard Shoberg on the last cover.
