RBG cannot catch a break. Damn it all. This is savage and I love it. Again giving LP minimal credit for being decent.

Looks like another vaccine is in stage 3 trials.

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
I wonder if this means we'll end up needing more than one shot a year or if the disease will continue to mutate and we'll need a new vaccine every year or so. That's for sure. Things are going to get hellish once schools open if we don't get some vaccine or therapeutic that works. Is there any time his followers don't look like hateful idiots? IJS!

Yes, I'm really starting to believe it we might be coming to the end of this madness and can start the rebuilding process. I also like the sound of Bidens plans for an infrastructure/jobs bill. A lot of people have promised it, but I think Biden has the connections and relationships to get it done.

Ivanka with those Goya beans has to be one of the most surreal things I have ever seen. I'm hoping we are at maximum crazy and things will start to calm down. I don't know how we can go on like this, but I've been saying that for nearly four years.

Yes. I have to remember that I am in no way his target audience. My vote can't be lost. And I'm with you. The fewer evens he does the better. At least he has the good sense to wear a mask.

I'm skeptical, but issues like this seem laughably quaint. I miss the days issues like American manufacturing jobs seemed important to debate. Right now I'm much more interested in stopping the death and chaos.

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
Yes. There are some people in hard core denial. People just don't want to believe that the droplets can stay in the air a long time. I really don't want to believe it either, but it's obviously a big risk to be indoors with groups of people. Even people who are trying to do the right thing just don't want to accept that social distance is not enough in gyms and restaurants and similar places. School is bound to be a disaster in many places. Kids are germ factories on top of all the other reasons it's a bad idea. When cold and flu season starts it's going to be one big nightmare. I'm resigned to the fact that I'll be doing e-learning for my son by October. It's inevitable. I feel so badly for people who's livelihood depends on having dependable childcare. What a mess!

There are several celebrities out there that are clearly ill and need help. It's sad that the media exploits them the way it does.

^ Damn right. These people who have failed in their leadership and are responsible for thousands of deaths deserve what they are getting. I am not wishing any of them well.

Of course it is! I just can't believe how crazy people are acting on every possible front. These people are obviously next level and need to go to jail for attempted murder, but I feel like we are living in a nut house. Unfortunately for all of us the biggest nut of all is in charge and unless I miss my guess he's loving every minute of this hate and chaos.

^ Wow. What a slap in the face to every American, but especially the people who are seeing their small businesses fold. This video. With the children behind barbed wire fence, ugh. Anyone who votes for him in November has no conscience.

Yes, sadly schools and day cares are almost certainly going to have to close again at least in some places. I hate even thinking about all of the kids who will be abused and have no contact with mandatory reporters who recognize the signs. Plus food security, loss of social and academic skills. What a nightmare. I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see a situation where schools stay open for long before he infections start.

That doesn't sound like too much to ask. Hell, that's practically the procedure to take your kid to preschool (Not really, but there is a temperature check and questions every day). If people want the privilege of going to another country, they need to get it through there heads that they aren't special and they need to comply with the rules. We would be a lot better off if everyone in this country got that through their thick heads. I just can't believe how blind and stupid some of these folks are while calling the rest of us sheep. Meanwhile, our numbers keep ticking up in the U.S.

I do remember. I really am sympathetic to some of these small businesses that are trying to comply with the rules while staying a float. As for the ones who don't care about anyone else as long as they make their money, the can rot for all I care. Using the Black Live Matter slogan for their bars is so disrespectful. It's just completely shameful and embarrassing. New Zealand and Australia come to mind. Parts of Asia and most African countries I would guess. Other than that I'm at a loss.

^ How embarrassing. Did he really think people wouldn't find out? I kind of knew because of Carl, but VJ always seemed so sincere I guess I fell for his act. Plus I'm just not up on most of these pundits since I dumped cable. I know I could watch clips, just like I could watch soaps online, but I just rarely do. It still amazes me how the second I dropped cable I lost the soap habit after 35+ years of being a loyal viewer.
