Me too. I hate all of this video conferencing, although for a different reason. I just don't want to deal with any of it. Just let me isolate in peace for heaven's sake. But no. Every kindergarten teacher, rabbi, doctor and her sister wants to video conference with me. I almost (but not quite) wish it were 1990 again.

Seriously. Every time I see a worker in a situation like this it pisses me off. It brings me back to my customer service days and I swear people have not changed a bit over the last 25 years. Still entitled as f*ck and taking their anger out on the people there to serve their ungrateful asses! Then I saw a story earlier about people spitting on Asian American nurses. Hell, no! I'd love to smack every one of them personally. Then they need to spend some time out in the heat picking up trash for 500 hours of community service.

I can usually muster up sympathy for almost anyone, but these folks along with the Trumpers at the hate rally just aren't worth it. They've chosen to be downright evil, so let the chips fall where they may.

This ad appeals to me. Not sure if it is effective, but the Lincoln Project has been doing some hard hitting ads, so maybe we have the best of both worlds going. And no, I don't really give TLP a ton of credit for what they are doing, but I'll take it.

This is interesting. I guess the cynic in me would say Klobuchar already knew she wouldn't be he pick, but I agree with her he should pick a woman of color. Unbelievable! I saw someone saying they thought it was more likely due to the effect masks would have on concession sales. In any case completely shameful.

Trump has been more successful at using shock and awe on the American people than Bush ever was in Iraq. There are so many f*cked up things going on it's hard to focus on all of it. Of course, some people simply don't care about anything that doesn't hurt them directly.

It's ridiculous! I would continue wearing a mask just to reduce the risks of regular cold and flu season. It's foolish that we didn't adopt this practice sooner.

^ Please be careful. People have been killed and assaulted for trying enforce the mask rule. It pisses me off that businesses expect regular workers to do that. They need to hire a damn security guard or raise wages one hell of a lot.

I'd forgotten that. I'm not in favor of any kind of cultural purge. I do think some of this stuff should not be on the airwaves or streaming. If people want to buy the DVD's and watch them without bothering the rest of us, fine. When people try to cancel JK Rowling (who I don't give one damn about as a writer) I cringe a bit. If you don't want to buy her books fine, but if we can't read or watch anything made by people who aren't fully "woke", the pickings are going to be slim indeed. I feel more fortunate then ever that Bernie was not the nominee because people on the far left really do seem to want to take it that far. I'm all for getting rid of these Confederate statues and renaming the military bases.

^ Yes. Short of a miracle we will probably all have to shut down again in a couple of months. What a nightmare. Just thinking about the loss of life and the economic damage terrifies me. Late fall is going to be such a bitch this year. I can only imagine what cold/flu/covid season is going to be like for medical professionals. Really, its likely to be awful for all of us, but I feel especially bad for them.

I have had this perverse need to spend just 5 mins in KM's head ever since she was on CNN. I need to know how she thinks. She went to Harvard Law School! You have to be able to do a certain amount of logical reasoning to accomplish that. You just do. So how does she say all of these things that don't make any sense? She does it with such conviction and confidence too. It amazes me. Is it that she hates black people that much? Is it that she knows it's all horses*it, but she'll say anything to promote her ideology?
