  1. So, the children of not one but two former dictators will be the next president and vice president of the Philippines?💀
  2. It would’ve been fun to find out that ole $Bill Jr. was an imposter. I know some people didn’t enjoy it, but I thoroughly enjoyed the evolution of Caroline Spencer. She became assertive, even bold in many regards and she wasn’t afraid to mix it up with Stephanie, or anybody for that matter. I could understand why JJ wanted to leave though, soaps tend to exhaust their talent and from the very beginning to the end, Caroline was always involved in some heavy heavy storylines.
  3. Oh, that’s also shameful. Musk came from and benefited from racist apartheid policies in South Africa and he runs Tesla as his own personal apartheid fiefdom, so I don’t think he can be shamed about his misuse and abuse of his wealth and privilege. It’s basically left to outside forces to stop him, which doesn’t look too promising at the moment.
  4. Yesterday, people were complaining that Krajinovic was foot faulting all over the place but never got called on it during his match against Tiafoe. Perhaps it’s the same umpire?
  5. Eric comes off as such a dope. He’s been married like 5 times and comes off looking foolish with each passing marriage. Stephanie must have been in charge of the finances in the early years of FC, otherwise I don’t know how they would have managed to hold onto the business.
  6. Alcaraz taking a nibble of the vulva trophy.
  7. This could have also been put in the Journalism/Media thread as a rant on today’s so called journalists. What a shambles this industry is currently.
  8. Who did Zverev have to get through to get to the final? I ask because up until the final, I hadn’t seen any of his matches.
  9. So, will people be looking at yesterday’s semifinal as the final? I missed the first set but from what I saw in the second, Zverev looked out of sorts, serving many double faults and producing many UEs. It just didn’t look pretty but because of the full tournament run, Alcaraz really earned his title this week.
  10. I can still remember when commentators on ESPN used to try to convince viewers that coaching was an issue only on the WTA Tour, when obviously a number of players on the ATP Tour also indulge.
  11. Oh. So what’s this about Carlitos being coached during the match? I admit, I saw about half of it because it was incredibly long and I had other things to do today.
  12. Good for Ons Jabeur! I missed the entire match but I had hoped she’d win.
  13. That was a long SF. We’ll have to see how he recovers.
  14. Well damn, Carlitos really did that shít! 👏🏾
  15. Elections in Ireland and Scotland and the bare minimum of reporting from the BBC.
  16. Ned Lamont is running for re-election this year also, but this is part of a continuing effort to solidify abortion rights in “The Constitution State”. Yes, it is known as The Constitution State.
  17. As The World Turns lost a number of talented actors that way. I’m not even talking about the Marisa Tomei’s or the Julianne Moores who were never going to renew their contracts, but other actors who went on to do commercials, something that gave them more flexibility. I understand that a character might be in heavy storyline but when that story wraps, give that character a rest or light work, give an underutilized actor something to do by giving their character a front burner story. Sometimes ATWT had overlapping stories and one character might be involved in both. It was entertaining but you know that actor had to be exhausted, especially since one or both storylines featured some heavy material. Miscarriages and murders, in the space of a week.
  18. Some good news and some not so good news for Spanish tennis today.
  19. While we’re on the subject of Catrall, Patricia Fields, Darren Starr and Candace Bushnell were there to honor Kim Catrall for the Power Women event.
  20. Has anyone mentioned Cricket on Y&R yet? It wasn’t scenery chewing, it was more like storylines. There was a time when Cricket seemed to be everywhere. I don’t blame the actress per se, it was really the writing that inserted the character into nearly every conceivable scenario, especially if the story line as an active one.
  21. Saving face. I guess they’re allowing him to spin the demotion. It’s definitely not a promotion. Streaming is an entirely different universe. The ad revenue is lower, so I have a hard time imagining how Todd could keep his network broadcast pay grade when streaming doesn’t generate the same ad buying rates. I see NBC News Now thumbnails on YouTube and I almost never click on, I always ignore, to the point that I forget it even exists.
  22. That final point in the match between Alcaraz and Nadal. Whoa! EDT. Autocorrect is just gonna have to get used to me typing Alcaraz, lol.
  23. Chuck Todd has been bumped to NBC News Now streaming service.
