The sad thing is that nothing can be done with Kim Richards... she just doesn't want to get sober long term... at best, she'd be a dry alcoholic/drug user until she modifies the behavior that is causing her to keep falling off the wagon.

I say no Michelle... the overuse of her character at the expense of others hurt the show..making it worse then it was in the early years. The early years had a little more.balance..and Stephanie was adorable when she was little as was DJ.

I think Kate Jackson was hired to fill the ingenure/governess role that Alexandra MOltke filled to prefection the first 2 1/2 years. While KLS was decent in the governess/ingenure part... she was much pretty playing the tough as nails diner worker and the fortune hunting Kitty Soames.. then the weaker maggie Evans/Rachel Drummond. I know Alex M. was approached to return.. and she did say she considered it.. if she could be a dark character for awhile.. or even have Victoria W possessed.. just something new to do. I don't think she was opposed to playing Vicki W.. just wanted some variety like the other cast members got.

I do.remember molly's realization that her choice to.always accept.being a second choice influenced her own daughter Abigail to do the same thing and she broke up with Holden before leaving town. It was the one decisions pass ante/gout man did that I actually agreed with. A woman finally deciding to.choose herself and her daughter first over some man. Sad that was seen as a marvel.when as much as ten to.fifteen years earlier..that was par for the course.

I'm hoping that Retro TV shows reruns into 1971 at least.. then we can see a young Anna Stuart as Toni. I do enjoy watching Nancy, but I agree that they are a mismatch. At least some of the other characters are commenting on this... if this were nowadays, then all the other characters would be propping the relationship.

Manuela is Andrea redux. Gambles only mistake was making her more relevant then she really is.

It seems.early.Alice was more teeny bop per/perky then the Alice of later years. Odd to think Steve frame in a weird way did a number on both her and Rachel.

I wonder if filming will still be Washington state like it was in the original series? Intrigued with the more then nine episodes now

What did you guys think.of the moderator for the Melbourne reunion? I liked that he was telling all.of them to shut up lol Part 1 was a nice balance of fun and conflict. Jackie/Gina are like a mother and daughter lol Gamble totally dragged pettifleur with little to no effort..and I think gamble being honest about her thoughts on the book was better then if she lied about liking it. Damned if u do, damned if u don't. Andy Cohen doesn't have power at bravo anymore..right? Isn't he only in charge of the housewife shows and wwhl? He might not have agreed with the decision to show Melbourne on bravo? I think cohen needs to not be involved with the housewives anymore...and someone else take over. Someone who can strike a balance between the conflict and fun. He has shown he no longer can find the pulse of what.viewers want anymore...if that makes sense.

RHOBH: It felt like two mini seasons in one.. For the first 9/10 episodes.. I would give the show a B+/A-.. only because it wasn't toxic and it harkened back to the original format of the franchise with individual narratives especially in episodes 2 through 6. Plus, I thought the first few functions were kind of fun with little to no fighting. For the 2nd half of the season.. I'd give it a C+/B-.. since it was too focused on Kim/Brandi.. with little to not focus on the housewives day to day life (except for Lisa V's interactions with her adoptive son Max.. and her presiding over a gay marriage). So altogether.. i would give the season a B/B- RHOA: I should give it a C or lower because it was too much shade and not enough sunlight. I think they need to film less together as a group.. and film more in their day to day lives.. or at least in pairs. However, I guess a C+ because Kandi, Nene, and Phadra had actual stuff going on in their private lives. If Porsha hadn't been shown at all. I would have given the season a B- LOL RHOMelbourne: I stopped watching midway through the season because I was sick of this whole Gamble past activity gossip that dominated the season. Seeing Pettifleur almost made me miss Andrea.. almost being the key word LOL Andrea was more delusional with some bitchiness thrown in... but Pettifleur was just a straight up bitch without any redeeming charactistics. However, I did rewatch the episodes I missed the other day.. so I guess a C+/B- due to Janet's funny pot stirring/talking heads, Gamble's whimsical personality.. Chyka actually having some nice moments with her husband and daughter (plus, loved the segment on her closet)..though I think Gina is still bitter over the gang up on season 1 and it showed in season 2. RHOC: season 10 looks interesting.. and given that Vicki, Tamra, and Heather had stuff going on in their personal lives.. it makes sense only five women were featured since it allows the chance for a balance between individual narratives and group dynamics. Plus, I read that newbie housewife Meghan just got married in october/November 2014.. and started filming in January 2015.. so reading that makes me understand why she's more of a bitch because of the stress of a new marriage, being a step mom to a 17/18 year old daughter.. and hubby traveling alot. I do wonder if Vicki is ok with her dramatic breakdown at the receipt of news of her mother's death being shown on tv.

Lizzie shows the long list of 1 season wonders for RHOC that includes Kimberly, Quinn, Peggy, Lydia, and now Lizzie. With that said, Meghan looks like she'll be a firecracker... Tamra better watch out.. she could eventually steal the head bitch crown from her LOL

Yeah..I don't like that hippie cowboy Jody whatsoever. The characters are saying hoe wonderful he is..but I'm not seeing it. Good to know some tropes such as that were around even then Still I'm wondering what Liz will be doing for the next year or so of her stint. She's had a couple of failed relationships, bad reaction to drugs, kidnapped, etc. What else can they throw on the poor girl?

I've watched a handful of episodes where Maggie was portrayed by Bethel Leslie and Lydia B. They look kind of similiar, so the recast wasn't jarring lookswise. However, the main difference between them is how they come across playing the character. I think Lydia's Maggie seems more maternal and warmer, but seems to lack the sarcastic edge that Bethel L provided for the character. In recent episodes, whenever there are sarcastic lines written for Maggie.. Lydia doesn't seem to deliver them as well as Bethel did. At the same time, Lydia's Maggie seems warmer and more affectionate with her husband vs. Bethel's Maggie.. where she and her husband had more of witty banter between the two of them.. but not as much warmth/affectionate. Also, I just can't imagine Carolee circa 1968/1969 having what happened to her in 1975 happen..if that makes sense.

According to twitter...rhoc shot their finale party over the weekend...according to pics...looks like Lizzie is a friend of..and Meghan is a housewife. Only looks to have five housewives only. Still wont believe it till the cast photo and trailer are released. Looks like Lynn and Tammy Knickerbocker went to the finale party too. I miss having visits from past housewives at the finale parties.

Diana would have so been written well under Marland... I think some of the stories given to Emily during his tenure could have been played well by Diana...imho

I like that Liz basically rescued herself...I do think that this kidnapping plot can be savaged if the after effects are played out.

rewatched RHONY this morning.. my thoughts: Kristen: Yes, she was a little bummed, but in her talking head she figured she didn't have a gift so it was a win win for her. And when her nanny said it wouldn't matter to her, then it seemed like Kristen was fine with it. Heather: I don't get why she is fighting Kristen's battle especially since Kristen didn't seem all that bothered by it. Also, Kristen tangled with Ramona and Aviva last season and did pretty well.. so I don't see why she needs a bodyguard.. unless it is for airtime. Ramona: I had read the rumor that she would be down-graded to a 'friend of' but judging by the first four episodes.. I can see why she got to keep that apple. Luann: Not in the episode all that much. Carole: I guess she disproves the notion that age brings wisdom? No way would I accept some random candy or drink from a stranger. I'm wondering if she's regressed to a 20 something due to the intense grief she felt at her husband, john john and carolyn's death. I bet she's more somber and serious in her private life then what she portrays on the show. I'd rather see her drop the ditzy act and be more like she was in season 5. Dorinda: She seems like a true New Yorker... in your face and abrasive. Not a bad thing and I like she's getting individual scenes so that we get to know her.. warts and all. I think she isn't over her late husband's death.. and I think that's why she isn't really reigning in her daughter Hannah. I wish more housewives had grown children to interact with.. I bet we'd see more of Kristen/heather's home life if they had older children. With that said, I do think Dorinda was pretty good at holding her own with Bethanny.. and even unsettled Bethanny a little. I can see them becoming friends down the road. Bethanny: She's abrasive, but I do like that she doesn't want to keep playing these petty conflicts. She shuts them down as quickly as they start. You can tell she's from the old school housewife format when it was more about their lives then petty disagreements. With that said, I did like Bethanny not inviting Dorinda and kristen to her gathering because she doesn't know them and the gathering was for her birthday. She only invited Carole cause they instantly clicked.. and Carole bought along heather as her plus 1. I miss the days of seeing the women host events for their friends.. and none of the other women attended the event. This is a reality show.. i want some realism.. rather then a rejected Sex and the City script.

How the show spent most of 1968 slowly bring nick and Althea.back together.. makes me wish that bold and the beautiful did that for Bill and Katie instead of just having.them reunite and remarry in a three week span. Shows nowadays do need to operate at a faster pace but not so.fast that all the beats are missed. I do think a character like Carolee wouldn't exist nowadays or she would be written as pathetic. This show proves that.you can feature a good girl character like Carolee but still.have her be interesting and not pathetic nor boring.

I have watched some of the 1981 episodes.. and it seemed like L. Virginia browne was trying to restore the Matthews family with bringing back Alice and Sally. It's interesting that the majority of the Matthews family were written off in 1982 when Jacker took over. It seems that Lemay and Jacker.. theatre writers didnt seem too interested in writing the Matthews family.. was it cause they were too boring?

I knew Kim did pot...she always appeared stoned in some of talking heads. Was it for sure confirmed that it was her son with the mental.health issues? I wonder if mention will be made as to.where her one daughter Whitney is.

Kandi and Nene have a very interesting dynamic.. its like nene can't get the best of Kandi and hasn't ever tried....and kandi had never really stepped up to Nene cause she doesn't care about her. I wouldn't call.them frienemies..but I would say they are social friends but not close or real.friends.

Bethanny is a bull in a china shop...wouldn't want it any other way . She is also more bark then bite. At the same time, someone needs to take her down a peg or two. Was Kristen even on? I was questioning why she isn't a friend of...but then I realized her bestie is Brandi glanville..latest bestie of Andy Cohen..and it all came clear to me. Dorinda is interesting to me...can't figure out why yet...but she is.
