  1. I had forgotten that. I'm glad something positive came of that mess. My thoughts to her.
  2. So many OLTL losses this year. My thoughts to his family and loved ones at this time of year. Antonio was such a sensation when he showed up on OLTL and fit the core of what Agnes Nixon had intended the show to be.
  3. A tough year for soaps, and OLTL high on the list. RIP Kamar. I'll always remember when I first saw Antonio and felt like I was watching the debut of a movie star. Kamar de los Reyes Dead: One Life to Live, Call of Duty Star Was 56 – The Hollywood Reporter
  4. Thank you so much for thinking of this thread @soapfan770 as on nights like this I miss the status bar. Merry Christmas to you and to everyone else. Even as soaps are mostly gone, nostalgia and regret, we're still here, and that's something to celebrate.
  5. ATWT did manage to rebuild itself in 1995 - if not for a combination of P&G's many wrong choices and the extremely incompetent Valente/Black & Stern combo, they might have had a chance. GL was lucky to make it through most of 1994, 1995, and 1996.
  6. On a technical level I agree with you, and ATWT did keep more of their longtime vets, but I do think GL, in spite of so much destruction and callousness, still found some semblance of itself in that final year or so through the returns and through re-centering vital characters like Vanessa (even if I wish she'd had more to do). That's what I was missing from ATWT. So many choices that felt obvious, like bringing back Andy even for a day, never happened. That history was even more of a core for me with ATWT than it was for GL, so the erosion of it over ATWT's last fifteen years made it harder for me to watch. Thank you. Merry Christmas to you too. I miss my P&G soaps more than ever around this time of year. At least we have our memories, and these videos.
  7. I think you also have Daniel J Travanti right before Joel.
  8. No. The earliest I've seen is the episode where Hope and Amanda are throwing a party and bitching about her.
  9. I remember Laurie Heineman also said that she bought the episode of AW she submitted for her Emmy reel. I always wonder if that is still available.
  10. No problem. Sorry for the lack of tag - I'm never sure how many are interested in the older stuff.
  11. That's so wonderful to hear - you've done so much to help fans with your vintage episodes, and memories. I'm so glad something came around that you didn't have. I think we all needed this type of Christmas gift.
  12. At around 32 minutes this has part of a scene with Lesley and Cameron, arguing about her attempts to find Laura. @depboy @Donna L. Bridges THE EDGE of NIGHT ABC 90 MIN SPECIAL December 1, 1975 - YouTube
  13. There's a snippet of a scene with Tim and Jenny in this at about 32 minutes. THE EDGE of NIGHT ABC 90 MIN SPECIAL December 1, 1975 - YouTube
  14. I liked Hetrick too, and the fragility of her work. With that said, I wasn't really a big Brenda fan so I was not coming in with the same mindset.

  18. Thanks for letting me know. Glad they made the effort and he was willing to return.

  20. Thank you so much! They are working for me here in the US. I never would have known of this without your post. I wonder if this is tied to Amazon recently buying Shortland Street to air on their Freevee service in the UK? What are you thinking of the current show? I'm still in mid October. Overall I feel like the show has improved from much of 2022 and early 2023, although there aren't any stories truly grabbing me. The one story I have no time for is Harry/Stella/Rahu as it's just so repetitive and dull and feels like a waste of Harry and Stella (although I know it's about to get worse with Harry on that front). I think the way they brought in the new interns and then did so little with them this year was a big missed opportunity.
  21. That's tiktok in a nutshell. I do think he looks healthier here than some of the other photos I'd seen of him a few years ago.
  22. Thank you @Toups for unlocking the thread...what a nice Christmas gift. A big reason I was hoping for the revival was AWHP mentioning that Linda De Coff played Janice Frame on Another World - October 27, 1972. I couldn't find that here, although I may have missed it. The photo they used:
  23. A Roseanne interview a year or so before the sitcom.
  24. That was beautiful. I'm glad they didn't seem to have the level of omissions they have had in recent years.
  25. I only keep up with the show through here but I had to watch the Monica clips. It was nice to see her. I tend to agree that the chair was a bad choice. Since we keep having temp recasts on the soaps, while we still have any soaps, is there any way the temp recasts thread could be reopened? @Toups @Errol Here's an interview with temp Joss from a few years ago.
