  1. So many legends have left us lately. I didn't remember that he was another who was brought up in the business by Roger Corman.
  2. 3. Derek didn't want to go through with the plot of killing Lily as he had fallen in love with her. He died saving her life. Niles was sent to prison.
  4. Definitely. She probably figured the story was already so far out, why not go further. I don't think it was a terrible decision, as it also meant taking away the ghoulish writing choice to have Adam own a cheap flight that caused Liza to lose their baby, but I could see why people were annoyed. (that was pretty much the only good writing choice she made with Adam in that stint)
  5. @slick jones Thanks again for your updates. Robert Bogue appears on Loving again briefly in 1994 as the Billy character. Not sure if he made any 1993 appearances. Someone else may know.
  6. We learned the former first, then the latter. I think the latter may have been a McTavish addition.
  7. This is another episode that used to be on Youtube but I couldn't find it now so reuploaded my old clips. Normally I would have combined the clips into one but had to do one by one as I put the last under age restriction (it's nothing especially wild, just Casey and Ally making love, but given the climate on Youtube these days I didn't want to take a chance) Dinah Lee says it's February 2 so I am putting that as the date. If it's wrong I will change the date.
  8. The material became very disgusting, almost shockingly so, after a promising start. I assume that was the story plan all along, but it was just so hard to watch, especially Laura's torment.
  9. Katie Rogers of the New York Times is also heavily pushing whispers and gossip, as that paper loves to do more than anything. And NBC News is huffing and puffing over Hunter advising his father. I think they know Biden isn't going to drop out or be forced out, so they are sprinting to fatally wound what's left of his campaign.
  10. This is August 8, 1986. @mikeaw1978 AWHP already has this episode available, but I thought you and Eddie might still be interested as this seems to be a better quality upload.
  11. Thanks as always @slick jones
  12. That scene of Nikki on the ground saying she has too much to do reminds me of the scene with Vanessa on the floor in front of her couch and willing herself to get off the ground. If only Vanessa had waited a little longer, she too might have had a miracle cure.
  13. At least it did happen earlier than most debate flameouts, and even at what the media is proclaiming a hugely successful week for Trump on multiple fronts, I am not sure if he has had any big jump (some of his sycophants are touting him being behind by 2 points in a New Mexico Republican poll - wowie zowie). The worst part is it allows the media to further hyper fixate on the palace intrigue and Dems in disarray topics they love to turn to, and this will continue on and on, especially with jackasses like Sheldon Whitehouse fanning the flames for publicity.
  14. Fascinating. I didn't realize Bill redid the Leslie and Lorie book plot with Ashley and Traci.
  15. I don't think that was how Marland intended it - I think under his pen the idea was that Alan would hit bottom and then reform and want to step back. He probably would have reverted to type again even if Marland had stayed, but I don't think he intended for Hope to seem quite so wan. It's just how a lot of the women at GL under his pen felt to me.
  16. I don't think it was ever said, but I agree with you.
  17. In terms that we would use, no. In terms of trying to hoodwink the lazy and desperate media, to a certain point. There have been buzzwords about opening voting centers in their campaign for black voters, Hispanic, Asian-American voters, etc. (they've actually been shutting them down or not funding them), the whole charade with Byron Donalds going to barber shops, and all the claims that black voters will flock to him if he picks Donalds or Tim Scott/Hispanic voters if he picks Rubio.
  18. Most of the people who say that aren't actually going to do anything. These are people who post guillotine gifs and then go back to the townhouses their rich parents own. It's a very tantalizing fantasy on the far left that a revolution will rise because both sides bad (but of course Democrats are always worse in this argument, those "neolibs" and their "late stage capitalism"), but that revolution will only ever be from anyone but them. Their idea of revolution is arguing online about how in their hypothetical paradise, no one will get bananas because they are part of the oppression. That's why they were so happy when that man set himself on fire earlier this year - they could live (or die) through him). I don't have any real hope that it will. As said above, many white voters don't care - either they don't hear about this or they don't know what it means until it's too late. The press doesn't care either because they are personally fond of Trump and they miss him and the money he put in their pockets. They have spent most of today still focused on the debate, Biden's age, going on about how Biden must leave office, and playing tedious "toldja so" games acting like they alone were martyrs who spoke about his age when no one else would. I did hear that there was talk at the BET about Trump's "black jobs" comments. I hope that resonates, although it's not especially fair to put this election on their shoulders when so many other voters are falling down on the job. If Trump and his people grow more and more confident that they will win big then I could see him ramping up the racism even more than he has already. If he does pick Vance or Burgum as his VP then you know the mask is fully off.
  19. Hope seems surer of herself to me in the Dobsons material. She seems too passive and almost literally fading into the wallpaper in what I've seen of her in the Marland material.
  20. I didn't even know (or had forgotten past conversations) until looking at the AWHP synopses recently that when Steve told Alice about his father and family for the first time, there were flashbacks of him standing up to his father as he abused his mother. AWHP mentioned that they didn't know who played the father but thought George Reinholt might have. Does anyone know for sure?
  21. Thanks. I want to be happier about this as Oliver was great on Corrie and Hollyoaks and the show desperately needs Sugdens (Victoria also needs to go away and this could help phase her out) but I don't trust the show. I expect him to start raping and beating women within about three months.
  22. Dissensions, a pilot for a web series that never was, trying to generate interest based on "audience participation." Set in a greenscreen bar, there are a slew of stories, some of which grow increasingly deranged as they go along. You can feel the cheapness, but it's an interesting concept. I can't embed but just click on the link.
  23. Benoît Jacquot, Jacques Doillon Questioned On MeToo Allegations (deadline.com)
  24. I didn't have a problem with it because to me that's just Nikki. I liked Brenda a lot, even if it did feel like they lost interest in her once she and Victor split up. I know she didn't have the edge Eileen's Ashley had, but that was probably fading by the time Eileen left anyway.
