  1. Thank you for clarifying, as I had been trying to figure out what was going on myself. I realized other X/Twitter videos were embedding without issue, so it definitely appeared to be an issue with that specific post, not on our end. Our software provider does have an update available, but nothing was mentioned about X/Twitter, which was concerning until I saw your post.
  2. You’re right! I know the show has tied for #1 when rounding, but I don’t recall when it ever was #1 when using pure figures. When combining the average of the two half hours of Price is Right, B&B was indeed #1 outright. Amazing accomplishment.
  3. I didn't know much about the Ellisons until recently, but they made much of their money from Oracle, which is behind the technology known as JavaScript, which helps run much of the internet even today. To me, billionaires are no different from each other. Whether it's Bezos, Musk, Ellison, Murdoch, or coporate figure heads like Iger, Zaslov, or whoever, our media is controlled by people who do not have us, the viewing public, as their top priority, as evidenced by all the "shareholders" talk in the acqusition press releases by both Netflix and Paramount in their fight to win Warner Bros. Discovery.
  4. Exactly. At least with Paramount, they'll (employees) get actual benefits with their employment. Nexstar or something similar gives you passes to the local dentist. Regardless of whether a company is big or small, all employees work at the behest of their employer. Not sure why political ideology is such a problem for people, though, whether it be left or right. IMO, no one side is always right or wrong on any single thing.
  5. Need To Know “Beyond the Gates” set new season highs among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, despite a minor drop in Total Viewers. “The Bold and the Beautiful” tied the second half-hour of “The Price is Right” to rank No. 1 overall among Women 18-49, while also setting a new season high across all categories. “The Young and the Restless” marked a new season high across all categories, including Women 18-49, Women 25-54 and Total Viewers. During the week of February 16-20, 2026, NBC aired continued coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics (Milano Cortina), which fully preempted “NBC News Daily.” Despite the increased competition from the games, CBS’ daytime dramas set new season highs among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, with “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” in particular marking new season highs among Total Viewers. For the week, “The Bold and the Beautiful” set a new season high among Women 18-49 (0.33 rating), Women 25-54 (0.42 rating) and Total Viewers (3.060 million). In Women 18-49, the half-hour soap opera was up +0.10 week-to-week (0.33 rating vs. 0.23 rating) and up +0.05 year-over-year (0.33 rating vs. 0.28 rating), while tying the second half-hour of “The Price is Right” to rank No. 1 in daytime in the key demo and marking its best overall performance since the week of March 31-April 4, 2024. Among Women 25-54, the series saw its best performance in the demo since the week of June 2-6, 2025. Meanwhile, among Total Viewers, this is the show’s best performance since at least the week of November 21-25, 2022 (3.060 million vs. 3.286 million)*. Additionally, the drama series outperformed itself against week two of the 2026 Winter Olympics, outperforming week two of the 2022 Winter Olympics among Total Viewers (3.060 million vs. 2.941 million), up +119,000, and was virtually on par among Women 18-49 (0.33 rating vs. 0.35 rating). “The Young and the Restless” also set new season highs among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating), Women 25-54 (0.49 rating) and Total Viewers (3.473 million). This was the long-running soap opera’s best performance among Women 18-49 since the week of July 28 – August 1, 2025, and its best in Women 25-54 since the week of June 23-27, 2025. The series was up +0.04 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating vs. 0.24 rating) and up +0.08 week-to-week among Women 25-54 (0.49 rating vs. 0.41 rating). Meanwhile, among Total Viewers, this was also the show’s best performance since at least the week of November 21-25, 2022 (3.473 million vs. 3.488 million)*. Additionally, its performance opposite week two of the 2026 Winter Olympics saw the scripted drama series virtually on par with its performance opposite week two of the 2022 Winter Olympics among Total Viewers, down by a mere 32,000 viewers (3.473 million vs. 3.505 million). Despite a minor drop in viewership from last week, “Beyond the Gates” set a new season high among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating). The soap opera was up +0.05 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.13 rating) and up +0.06 week-to-week among Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.21 rating), even in Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) with the year-ago average performance of the “Entertainment Tonight” daytime special “Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood” and repeat broadcasts of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” which aired in the show’s time slot ahead of its premiere, and up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.28 rating). This was the show’s best performance since the week of September 15-19, 2025, among both Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.30 rating). Among Total Viewers, with 1.693 million viewers tuning in, the daytime drama series was down a mere 20,000 viewers, though still well ahead of the show’s season average (1.599 million). Opposite week two of the 2026 Winter Olympics, “Beyond the Gates” was up +80,000 viewers from how “The Talk” performed opposite week two of the 2022 Winter Olympics. With its best performance among Total Viewers in three weeks, “General Hospital” crossed the two million viewer mark for the seventh time in eight weeks, with 2.203 million viewers tuning in. The soap was up +0.02 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.16 rating), but when excluding ABC’s coverage of the Wild Card Series games in October 2025, the long-running drama tied its season and series low among Women 25-54 (0.21 rating), down 0.03. Compared to the same week last year, the show is down 0.11 among Women 25-54 (0.32 rating vs. 0.21 rating), tying the second half-hour of “The Price is Right” (0.50 rating vs. 0.61 rating) for the largest year-over-year drop in the demo. Wrap-Up What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of February 16-20, 2026, among Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including week-to-week and year-over-year comparisons (where available). 6. I hate that Warner Bros. can't just stay as its own company, but at least with Netflix, they stated they'd keep the two services separate. Meanwhile, Paramount is already making it clear that they'll be merged. The only bright side is that the cable networks will be preserved rather than sold off (at least not yet), whereas Netflix had no plans to acquire the linear networks in its planned Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition. They were to be sold off. That's why people boo-hooing about CBS News/CNN, particularly their employees, need to just stop it. At least CNN will have some corporate muscle to support them, rather than being owned by whoever would have eventually bought it, TBS, TNT and Cartoon Network, among others, as part of a standalone company offered for sale at a bargain basement price.

  12. Late last month, a severe weather storm brought several inches of snow to the East Coast, including the New York City region, forcing the cancellations of thousands of flights. As a result, Daniel Cosgrove was unable to fly out in time to tape scenes as Ezra Boyle on “General Hospital,” forcing the Los Angeles-based daytime drama series to temporarily recast the role. Due to the show’s flexible tape-to-air schedule, which uses out-of-order taping based on set availability rather than script continuity, Patrick Scott Lewis will replace Cosgrove for a few episodes, with the first airing on Monday, March 2, and a second scheduled for Monday, March 16. While playing Ezra will mark the first major role on a soap opera for Lewis, this isn’t the first time he’ll have appeared on “General Hospital.” The actor previously appeared on the show in a December 2024 episode, playing Mr. Thomas, a father who interrupts Kai (Jens Austing Astrup) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) so that his son can take a photo with his college football idol. Other acting credits for Lewis include roles in such shows as “Cold Case,” “Castle” and, more recently, “Monster: The Ed Gein Story.” Daniel Cosgrove, Genie Francis In story, Ezra is the underling of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and ran against Laura Collins (Genie Francis) during last year’s mayoral election. Recently, he displayed his vulnerability to Laura, informing her that he’d become too deeply connected to the big bad of Port Charles, to the point that it’s nearly impossible for him to escape. Soap Opera Digest was the first to report the casting news. 15. Amell should have been a lead in the sense that he was added to the cast to replace someone like Meghan Markle, who would not have returned. Otherwise, I agree, it should have been a reboot with the original cast as leads. Otherwise, there was no reason to bring it back, since it only became popular under the old characters.
  16. ABC is currently weighing its options for next season’s primetime schedule, Deadline recently reported, with most of the network’s high-profile scripted dramas and comedies having a high probability of returning for the 2026-2027 television season, though, in some instances, at potentially reduced production costs. According to the outlet, “Grey’s Anatomy,” the network’s longest-running scripted primetime series, is facing another budget cut, which could lead to cast departures and fewer episodes overall as it looks toward securing a 23rd season. Citing the show’s age and ensemble nature, the medical drama reportedly features some of the highest-paid actors on broadcast TV, which is why episode guarantees for veteran cast members have been reduced over the last two seasons, with each appearing in 14 of the show’s 18 episodes in Seasons 21 and 22. Caterina Scorsone, who plays Amelia Shepherd, saw her guarantee reduced even further, scheduled to appear in just 10 episodes this season. “Grey’s Anatomy” remains a success story for ABC and continues to dominate its Thursday night time slot. Most recently, after seven days of viewing, the series averaged 6.21 million viewers and a 1.37 rating among Adults 18-49 across linear and streaming (ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms), rising +154% (vs. 2.44 million) and +523% (vs. 0.22 rating), respectively, over the initial Live+Same Day audience for its January 29 episode, displaying the show’s best multiplatform performance among Total Viewers since the show’s season premeire (6.61 million on October 9, 2025). Looking at a Season 10 renewal, “9-1-1” is also a strong performer on ABC, with the show’s January 29 episode averaging 8.20 million viewers and a 1.34 rating among Adults 18-49, rising +80% (vs. 4.55 million) and +283% (vs. 0.35 rating), respectively, over the show’s initial Live+Same Day audience and its best multiplatform performance among Total Viewers since its season premiere (8.30 million on October 9, 2025). Despite the show’s continued success, like “Grey’s Anatomy,” “9-1-1” is also facing budget cuts, even after co-lead Peter Krause‘s exit last season. Ditto for “The Rookie,” the police drama starring “One Life to Live” alum Nathan Fillion, which is looking to be renewed for Season 9, with conversations reportedly underway with Lionsgate, the show’s lead studio. Other shows expected back at ABC next season include “Abbott Elementary” (Season 6), “Will Trent” (Season 5), “High Potential” (Season 3), “Shifting Gears” (Season 3) and freshman “9-1-1: Nashville” (Season 2). 18. In January, viewers were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the set of “Beyond the Gates” when food and lifestyle contributor Sunny Anderson visited the soap opera’s Atlanta studio for a segment that aired on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” As part of her duties, which also coincided with Anderson being honored with a walk-on role, she conducted interviews with some of the show’s cast members, including Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree), Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree), Ambyr Michelle (Eva Thomas) and Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana “Leslie” Thomas). The Tunie and Davis interview aired on February 3, while the Michelle and Mann-Grant’s interview is set to air on the Tuesday, March 3 episode of the syndicated daytime talk show. In a clip released last month by CBS Media Ventures, which produces and distributes the Drew Barrymore-hosted talk show, Anderson discussed her experience with Barrymore and Ross Matthews, and shared what she learned, including some soap opera trade secrets, and even how input from the costume, hair, and makeup departments, among others, helps create the show’s identity. Although details surrounding Anderson’s walk-on role were unavailable at press time, her episode is slated to air in May. Watch the full segment below. 23. His comments about the failure of "Suits L.A." and about taking the blame for its failure didn't sit right with me. Actors should never take the blame for the failure of a TV show. It's the producers and the casting director who chose them for the role that should take the blame. The audience only responded by not watching because the producers and casting director gave them reason not to watch.
