  1. Is there a particular brand/ad playing in the video that you remember seeing? When did this start? (I’m currently writing my response on an iPhone and not having an issue)
  2. The wedding between Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) is set to take place this November, and fan favorites Tricia Cast (Nina Webster) and Patty Weaver (Gina Roma) will be in attendance as guests. Although air dates were unavailable at press time, according to Soap Opera Digest, which first reported the news, both Cast and Weaver are taping this week at the show’s Television Studio for their appearance in the special wedding episodes. Nina is Cricket’s best friend and Gina is Danny’s sister. Last seen on the soap in March 2024, Cast first joined the cast of the daytime drama series in June 1986, and won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series category in 1992 for her portrayal. Since 2001, Cast has appeared in a recurring or guest capacity, including episodes aired throughout November 2008 and a more impactful run in 2009. In September 2013 and August 2014, Cast appeared for a handful of episodes. It wasn’t until 2020, and again in 2021, that Cast would return to Genoa City. Her other recent stints include appearing as part of the show’s 50th anniversary celebration and the 40th anniversary of Lauralee Bell in 2023. In July, Nina’s son, Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV (Conner Floyd), was killed. A funeral for the character was held off-screen. As for Weaver, she first arrived in Genoa City in October 1982 and appeared for several years thereafter. By 2009, her appearances dwindled until she returned to town in 2013 for Katherine Chancellor’s funeral. She most recently appeared in 2023 for the show’s big anniversary celebration. Lauralee Bell Howard Wise/JPI Studios (Courtesy of CBS) Last month, “The Young and the Restless” held an online poll that had fans voting to determine which of three wedding gowns Cricket would wear during her wedding to Danny. On September 22, a second round of voting began with the top two choices remaining. The winning dress is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. 4. “General Hospital” will again be preempted on Thursday, October 2, due to ABC’s continued coverage of the Major League Baseball Wild Card Series, this time featuring Game 3 of the American League between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Guardians. The long-running daytime drama series is set to return with all-new episodes on Friday, October 3. On Tuesday, ABC aired Game 1 of the series between the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs, with the Cubs victorious at 3-1. Wednesday’s Game 2 saw the Padres win 3-0. The deciding game between the two teams vying for the National League title will air on ESPN on Thursday, starting at 5:08 p.m. ET. The deciding game between the Tigers and the Guardians is scheduled for 3:08 p.m. ET on ABC and will be a winner-take-all for the American League Division Series on Thursday at Progressive Field. Game 1 on Tuesday saw the Tigers win in a 2-1 victory, while the Guardians took Game 2 on Wednesday with a 6-1 win. As a result of the preemption of "General Hospital," the episode featuring the reading of Monica's will is now scheduled to air on Monday, October 6, leaving fans of the soap opera several more days to anticipate who will be named the new owner of her house, which Alan gave to her. Check out a fun video featuring the cast speculating who they think should inherit the Q mansion below. In a separate video shared across the show’s social channel, stars Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) and Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) can be seen telling fans to tune in again for fresh episodes of the soap opera beginning Friday. 7. The 2025-2026 television season began on Monday, September 22. With that, Nielsen formally introduced an adjusted tracking method called Big Data + Panel, which the measurement service notes will “bring human insights to the numbers in big data sets.” In addition to the 101,000 real people from the 42,000 households already tracked by Nielsen (the Panel), the new tracking method encompasses approximately 45 million Big Data households and 75 million devices from Comcast, Dish, DIRECTV, Roku and Vizio. “This yields a person-level measurement that is representative of the larger population at scale,” Nielsen notes, saying the impressions across screens allow a correction for “biases and other gaps” in its tracking. As a result, going forward, all national reporting for the current season will be based on Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel numbers, with prior figures compared against Nielsen’s Panel-only audience measurement unless otherwise noted. Despite the change in its tracking method, an initial assessment by Soap Opera Network indicates numbers for the week of September 22-26, 2025, as shown in the charts below (This Week), are in line with prior averages (Last Week and 2024 columns). Additionally, Big Data appears to favor news/talk programming more so than scripted dramas and game shows, which historically see lifts among delayed viewership (Live+3 and Live+7). Unfortunately, delayed figures are not currently available to this publication. Figures below continue to utilize Live+Same Day viewing. For the week, “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal” launched Season 54 and Season 17, respectively, on CBS. The former remained on top across all key categories, while the latter came back to originals relatively on par with its year ago performance. Among Women 18-49, “Beyond the Gates” tied its series low with a 0.14 rating, while with its 0.17 rating, “The Young and the Restless” dropped below both “The Bold and the Beautiful” (0.20 rating) and “General Hospital” (0.18 rating). Three of the four network soaps set new series lows among Women 25-54, starting with “Beyond the Gates” (0.23 rating), followed by “The Bold and the Beautiful” (0.31 rating) and “The Young and the Restless” (0.32 rating). “General Hospital” tied its series low (0.25 rating). Except for “Beyond the Gates,” all daytime broadcast shows saw week-to-week gains among Total Viewers, led by “GMA3” (up +176,000), “NBC News Daily” (up +145,000), originals of “The Price is Right” (up +181,000 and +102,000, respectively), originals of “Let’s Make a Deal” (up +100,000 and +115,000, respectively), “The View (up +105,000) and “General Hospital” (up +94,000). “The Young and the Restless” saw a gain of just +7,000 viewers week-to-week, while “The Bold and the Beautiful” was up +35,000. Wrap-Up What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of September 22-26, 2025 among Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including week-to-week and year-over-year comparisons. Note*: Figures under the 2024 column for “Beyond the Gates” are compared to the performance of the former time slot occupant, “The Talk.” “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” is compared with the performance of its predecessor, “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.” Meanwhile, “GMA3” is compared with the performance of its predecessor, “GMA3: What You Need to Know.” “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal” aired repeats during the week of September 15-19, 2025 (Last Week). Last Week and 2024 columns are based on Nielsen Panel-only data. Comparisons under the 2024 column among Households and Total Viewers were unavailable to this publication for most daytime broadcast shows until at least February 2025. Households and Total Viewers were not available at press time for “TODAY 3rd Hour” or “TODAY with Jenna & Friends.” Rankings will be updated as soon as those figures become available. 8. Thanks for letting me know, everyone. I also had been experiencing the error message you all had mentioned, but there was no definitive solution available until it got out of control yesterday. While I can't say for sure it is gone forever, at least the issue seems to have calmed down quite a bit. Thanks for confirming, at least for now.
  9. It might be better off airing Fridays at 8:00 p.m., if NBC can make the budget cost-effective. The premiere on Monday, September 22 at 10:00 p.m. averaged just 2.3 million viewers, while a repeat aired on Friday, September 26 averaged 1.426 million. Not bad at all for a repeat. If new episodes can pull what it did on Mondays, but on a Friday, that wouldn't be considered a bad thing to NBC, especially if the Peacock numbers can be juiced. Outside of Law & Order: Organized Crime, which is now a Peacock original series and has already released all the episodes set to air on NBC this fall, and averaged 2.218 million viewers last week, only Dateline had fewer viewers on NBC than Brilliant Minds. Dateline did just 2.194 million on Friday, September 26, at 10:00 p.m.
  10. Former “Big Brother” winner Rachel Reilly is heading back to “The Bold and the Beautiful” in November when she reprises her role as Rachel, a server at Bikini Bar, who also has a side hustle as an “energy healer and spiritual cleanser.” Set to appear in at least two episodes airing on Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14, Reilly will share scenes with Don Diamont (Bill Spencer), Heather Tom (Katie Logan) and Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer). According to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the news, Reilly’s character is said to have “experiences with toxic houses,” a nod to her time in the “Big Brother” house, including her most recent arrival this summer during the long-running reality show’s 27th season. Reilly previously appeared on the competition series in Season 12 and Season 13, with the latter season seeing her crowned the winner of the game. “I shook the ‘Big Brother 27’ house with boldness, beauty, and a touch of betrayal,” said Reilly to Entertainment Weekly while discussing her return to the half-hour soap opera. “So naturally, I’m stepping back into the Forrester world — where drama meets couture. As an icon, I serve both and couldn’t be more excited to be back.” In addition to “Big Brother,” Reilly has also been a competitor on such shows as “The Amazing Race,” “The Traitors,” “Celebrity Fear Factor,” and “Snake in the Grass.” She previously appeared in more than two dozen episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful” between 2010 and 2014.
