I remember Michael Logan calling the '01 Thanksgiving by far the worst soap episode of the past 5 years in the 2001 year-end issue

He wasnt privvy to what would come in the next 10 years.

LOL...I bet he's thinking now "Wow, that 2001 episode wasnt so bad in hindsight" Defiently beats no Qs fighting and GH dusting off Mac and Alexis non romance with all their kids trying to pimp them togetehr

Remember last Thanksgiving when Jason FLIPPED.A.TABLE!?!?!

[!@#$%^&*], if that isn't one of the best episodes of GH ever, then I don't know what is.

Yes! He and Sam came over and Tracy was rude or something along those lines and Jason flipped the [!@#$%^&*] table.

It was so raw and heartfelt. We had to wonder why he was being such a prick though... Then we found out he had a 20 year old piece of dashboard in his skull which explained EVERYTHING.

Gosh, he had the best story lines.

He was a big Guza fan so he'd probably say everything was good until Wolf took over.

This first episode makes me realize how much I hated Claire Labine's caricature writing for Lucy 80% of the time. I don't think Labine ever quite had a gasp on this character and wrote her as being stupid and outrageous for the sake of being so a lot of the time.

I loved Lucy like that though. She was just so funny. Posted Image

Poor Lucy. Thinking that her beloved pet duck Sigmund may get eaten. Thanksgiving is a baaaaad day for a duck to get out of the house.

Thanksgiving 1995 - GH at its peak of excellence

I think I'm the only one in soap viewer land that liked Katherine Bell (namely, when she slung her smug bitchery around the Qs and Lucy).

Lucy looking for her Siggy. Man, I miss those two and can't wait to see her back!

Back when Mac was actually appreciated enough on the show to get any significant airtime.

Original Recipe Maxie (a.k.a.: the best one)! Tommy Hardy! Justus, Simone, Tom, and Felicia!

Bobbie and Tony before the Slagbeast contaminated the show!

Original Recipe Emily (a.k.a.: the worthwhile one). Ned & Lois, the Real AJQ, Edward and Lila, Alan and Monica. Reginald! This episode encapsulated exactly why the Qs were magical!

Dr. Steve Hardy! Makes me both sad and mad that this show didn't even bother to cultivate a worthwhile patriarch to read to the kids at Christmastime after John Bernadino died and showkiller Guza fired Stuart Damon.

Dr Kevin! Man, I miss this GH...

Lucy's one character I think had her best writing and characterization in the 80's/pre-Labine era.

Oh look. It's Jason before he turned into a heartless cyborg!

Oh and this line was priceless..."Murder, Bloodshed, and orange sauce!"-Lucy Coe.

AJ & Keesha.

Jason Q.

JJ Lucky!

Luke when he was a worthwhile character that actually cared about his family.

The Labine/Riche era was truly the best that this show has had over the past 20 years. As much as I do appreciate Cartini for attempting to take GH back to pre-Guza/JFP/Frons fuckery, I'd gladly trade them for Labine/Riche in a heartbeat if ABCD decided to bring the latter team back.
