Well, ATWT definitely deserves to be higher for last week. The last few days of shows were really well-done. I watched DAYS a few times last week and that should be lower.

Looks like a lotta people tuned in for the Darla stuff on B&B but got bored as the week went on. I know I did.

WOO HOO FOR DAYS!

YES! FINALLY!

Honestly, stories are finally progressing, still a bit slowly, but things are happening. And IMO, the new dialogue writers have helped tremendoulsy. I can see why ratings have gone up.

I'm not trying to start anything, but interesting enough, J/J are backburnered again and John/Marlena aren't even on, so .... do they REALLY rise the ratings? Or does all it take is better writing?

I don't know Krypton but I will tell you one thing-if J&M were on even a little I do think Days may be a point higher. I do think that entire fanbase has tuned out and I do think the fact that the writing is being addressed, the gloved hand, it being summer, stories moving a bit, and some new fans being here from the Steve/Kayla contingent (even though they were on like one day last week they still seem to have watched) has helped the show do pretty well.

I am hoping Days holds on for this week and next or stays around 2.6-2.7 because I know once J&M come back and Beth Milstein takes over the show will be on a much better high. I don't expect Beth to do alot but I do think she will be better then what we are currently getting with this transition stuff.

IA that the writing is the main factor.

B&H- 2 days last week

J&J- 2 days

S&K- 1 day " "

J&M- 0 days " "

I don't believe there would be any difference if J&M were on pouring tea. Their reunion did nothing for the ratings so having them as part of the scenery but with no story won't do it, either. Ratings respond when the stories speed up and there is progress.

I think that Days has benefited from just the news that JER was gone even if some of his stories are still playing out. I also think that Patch and Kayla being back has helped some too. I much rather see Patch and Kayla than anything with John and Marlena so J/M being gone has been a good thing, IMO. Let Passions have JER so that show can continue to scrape the bottom of barrel in the ratings while hopefully Days will continue to improve in the writing and the ratings.

Off-liners don't know who the writers are, so I highly doubt that the news of JER leaving has/had any impact on the ratings.

Yay for DAYS staying 3rd and gaining after a +.3 week! Hopefully they stay up and begin to compete with B&B for the #2 rank.
