I agree with Toups and Danni-this Fox is a wimp and the character has done a complete 180. Today was the first time ever that I liked him and that was because he hd the Crane-like attitude and "take no crap" philosophy Justin's Fox had. Justin was not overrated-he made that role and was capable of carrying any story he was in. If it weren't for him, I would still hate Heidi Mueller as Kay. He made me even like her.

I don't understand all the Jared hate mostly because it has been two days. Give the guy a chance-at least he can act. This reminds me so much of old Ethan/Theresa and old Fox/Theresa back when both men were snobbish but had a heart. The way Jared handled Theresa today was so Fox-like.

I was in between yesterday but today I thought Jared just fit in. Those who hate him right now shoudl just keep watching and give the character a chance. I give Passions credit for getting guy who can act.

I will also give Passions credit today for showing us signs of old Julian. The drinking, snarky attitude was so refreshing. I don't mind Julian being good but I want balance so giving him some edge back works for me.

Phoenix and Toups, according to you two, Passions does not have trouble casting people who can't act. You like Passions' cast, so why do you two think it's refreshing they casted someone who can act? You both always defend Passions' acting.

I can't understand the hate because he's only been on for two days! I think he's really good in the short time that I've seen him, and he's held his own with Lindsay which is tough to do. I think James managed to pull off in two days what Divins has yet to do in the three/four years that he's been on the show. We don't know enough about the character to judge how the character is, and the only way to watch is with an open mind. If he turns out to be Alistair, I'm going to be super excited. I think the only way this character fails is if the writing isn't up to snuff.

The new Fox brings something new and better to the role than Justin. I never liked Fox when he was played by Justin, except in the last 6 months when he hooked up with Kay. I like how Mark plays Fox, and his portrayal has turned Fox into one of my favourite male characters.

With Jared, he's quickly become my least favourite. The character and actor both suck. Theresa needs to be with a weaker guy who won't stand up to her or challenge her power. God knows her power's been challenged enough as it is, and with our luck, Jared will steal Crane from her and she'll be back being nothing but the housekeeper's daughter. As Mrs. Crane, she's finally got one up on Gwen, and it needs to stay that way!

I disagree. Theresa's power has been threatened time and time again over the past 7 years, by Gwen, Rebecca, and Alistair. Jared doing the same thing would be redundant.

I never said anything about blackmail. The guff Jared's giving Theresa brings her down emotionally, just like Gwen has done over the years with her racial slurs and overuse of the word "!@#$%^&*]". It will eat away at Theresa's self-confidence, destroying the role she has created for herself because she'll collapse.

I'll admit, I definitely liked Theresa using Jared. I don't care if she treats him like garbage, just as long as Ethan gets furious and pursues her!!

Like I said, that was only for half and episode. What if Jared makes her happy, makes her smile, makes her laugh? I still think you'll hate the guy because you're an E/T extremist and is biased when it comes to them. We don't even know Jared yet and you're already dogging him for the same reaction Ethan had in 1999. In fact, Ethan was worse to Theresa in 1999.

My hope is that Jared is an angel sent by Fate to reunite Theresa and Ethan in a very roundabout way. That's the only way I'll like him. I'd also like it if he's Alistair, and Ethan has to save Theresa from him.

Theresa and Ethan are meant to be. I don't care if Jared makes her happy---she's destined to be with Ethan..they are the couple with the hardest-core fanbase. And they will be together. It's just a matter of when.
