DAYS: How Would You Write Jack/Jen off the show?

It's gonna have to be something damn good, otherwise Corday will be in for a lynching from the J&J fanbase.

I'd suggest Jack is immediately cured, he and Jennifer renew their wedding vows, and they leave town after Jack gets a great new journalistic job in New York or LA. And, Matt/Missy's last ever DAYS episode would feature them picking flashbacks of their favorite Jack/Jen scenes over the years.

The J&J fanbase deserves some sort of payoff, especially after the bad news of last week.

I'm a MA and Jack fan and think he is bigger than J/J. I'd have Frankie and Jen with baby JJ taking off to Africa on some mission that Laura and Bill have begged help with. Kayla and Steve work with Jack on the new treatment and nurse him back to health so he will be able to join them in great adventures and stories. Abby is thrilled beyond words to have her beloved daddy back and staying near her and she has given her blessing to Frankie and Jen and their mission of mercy which is something that she herself intends to do with her life. She is very proud of them.

Give J&J a real good classic Days wedding to make up for their crappy second wedding and then given them a fairy tale ending with them riding into the sunset. :)

The problem with your suggestion Jean is Ashford is out, so, he won't be sticking around.

I'm with Evan. Cure, remarry, chase new job opportunities together.

As for Frankie, since he's semi-attached to this and also rumored to be out, I'd have him just go back to DC.

I think they should pull a "Big Love," and have Jack, Jenn, and Frankie all move to Utah and settle down as a triad.

Jack & Jen remarry, and they get a job offer in London to work for a big newspaper.

or have Jen "killed" for once.

I'm with ya on the remarriage and new job. Jack & Jennifer have a great new, beautiful wedding with their friends. Then Jack gets the offer to be CE of a newspaper somewhere else.

Ew, no. Ride off into the sunset is so overdone.

Jen refuses to forgive Jack for his deception and leaves town, heartbroken and devastated over Jack's lies and manipulation.

Jack follows her out of town, trying to find her and get her to understand.

I just want J&J to leave together, happy and reconciled.

I can't even imagine another scenario, the show had better give them a good send off

Jack discovers the cure to his illness is from a doctor working in the Bahamas, and he plans to go there. He tells Jenn to stay in Salem with Frankie and Abby and JJ, and he and Jenn remember all the good and bad times they've had together. After he bids an emotional goodbye to Abby, he heads for the airport. Before takeoff, he discovers Jenn sneaked away on the plane. The last shot we see of them is the two renewing their vows in the Bahamas, with Bill and Laura Horton by their side.

I like that!

Well, that would certainly be lackluster and sucky. Not to mention inconsistent, sin ce Jen's already forgiven him. She knows Jack too well to mad at him over something she knows he thinks he had to do. Being cured may definitely be something more for Jennifer to deal with, but she'll be happy to have her husband back.

Ride off into the sunset may be overdone, but between the abused J&J fans and the abused J&J, do they really deserve less? There should be something quirky about it (like Bree's suggestion), but there should be closure.

Yeah, I think rushing J&J off into the Sunset together is rushed, contrived, and boring. It would be great if he got cured and THEN she dealt with all of her anger. It would fit in well with J&J and their history since this isn't the first time Jack has fucked up majorly. It would make sense that she forgave him because he's dying and then has to deal with it when he's cured.

If they had the proper time to deal with it right, I wouldn't be against it. It doesn't seem like they do, though. Who knows. Knwong Beth Milstein wrote a lot of their stuf fin the past, I have some faith in the ending she'll create for them, no matter what it is. I personally think it would be refreshing for Jennifer to be like, you know what, I should be used to this by now. I married this man knowing how crazy he is. But, maybe that's just me.

I guess I'm out of the loop because I didn't know Ashford was leaving. I knew Missy was, but I had know idea Matt was too. Was he fired or is he leaving of his own choice?
