I was looking ahead at the guests for Regis and Kelly and it says that Tristan Rogers is going to be on July 10th. Could this be a new trend? Now that Frons is head of the division of Buena Vista that produces Regis and Kelly, could we see more ABC soap stars on Regis and Kelly? Could this be why he canceled Soaptalk? He is actually thinking with a brain and is going to have ABC soapstars on Regis and Kelly since it is a more mainsteam talk show. And considering that Regis and Kelly is syndicated, it has more viewers than The View which is a 100 percent run by ABC.

I know several of them have appeared on The View but not Regis and Kelly. I thought a lot more would appear after Kelly joined the show but not a lot did. I wonder if that will change now that Frons is basically Gelman's boss.

ETA: And it is also weird that Tristan wasn't on the show when he first came back in February but is coming on now that Frons has been named an executive at Buena Vista.

Rosie used to be very good at having soap stars on. Oprah would do it once in a while. But she hasn't for a long time.

They always have Susan Lucci on as I think Regis has a secret crush on her. I have seen lots of ABC soap stars on there, but come to think of it, not too many OLTL stars. Maybe Erika Slezak after her last Emmy win but thats it. I saw Jacob Young recently. Has ANthony Geary ever been on? I know he doesn't like to do publicity. ANd of course the biggest DAW of them all, Maurice Benard has been on.

Tony Geary was on The View not too long ago. I think it was right before emmy's. He has been on Soaptalk a few times. The most recent being for their emmy show. I think he was also on for "Carpool Guy."

I remember (and have on tape) Kim Zimmer being on Regis & Kathy Lee. Even Kevin Mambo (ex-Marcus, GL) was on it. I guess because he was a 2-time Emmy winner.

I seem to recall Alicia Minshew on the show once as well.

Ever since Kelly became co-host with Regis, they've had a lot *more* soap stars on the show, which I think is great advertising for the soaps.
