Catching up on a bunch of episodes, and even though I hate Sidwell attached to everything, I would welcome it being revealed that Jacinda is also one of his pawns. And best of all, I want her to revel in it. No redemption once the final plays out. Anyone familiar with DC Comics? I want original Terra levels of psycho once it’s revealed. Let her go after Nina too! Let’s get hot Michael a legit relationship from the ashes of his current ordeals.

And for god’s sake, no to Ezra/Laura. I don’t care how much more watchable GH has been for the last year, and Kevin being permanently out of town. I will not stomach another major character in a nothing relationship with a recurring character. It’s hard enough with Michael/Jacinda, Carly/Valentin, Trina/Kai, and Sonny/DA. Enough is enough FV!

You say it!!! But that conversation I mentioned earlier was soooo not a coincidence. And I also clocked Ezra finally showing a hint of vulnerability with Jaci-nota and then that one scene with Laura where he appeared to actually care and bonding over them being pawns of Sidwell now. So I feel it's coming. Unless Frank gets bored that is. We know how he is about his flavors of the month.

There is absolutely no call for ever putting Laura with Corrupt Barbara Bush. I don't care how much Frank likes Dan Cosgrove. I can see them toying with it a little too.

While I have been intrigued by it...and see it coming...I'm not sure if I am still as behind it after the temp recast. That temp recast gave Erza a whole different flavor that I actually liked tbh. So kinda disappointed that Dan is back and is giving me 'Martin/Tracy' in scenes with GF now.

I guess we've figured out one of Frank's tricks for saving on the budget: pairing contract characters with non-contract recurring players. The writing rarely masks how out of nowhere these pairings are. There are rare times when the chemistry can overcome, but not usually.

At least the Martin/Tracy budget pairing seems to be on hold again with MEK gone. I was mortified that Frank was finally going to pursue it with their scenes in February. Knowing FV he'll pick it back up again in 6-9 months but I am hoping it's gone for good.

Truthfully the original Kevin/Laura pairing was just the same. It made no sense for them to get together. But Genie had (allegedly) come back asking for a real love interest, and FV clearly figured hey, Jon Lindstrom's here and not on contract! We've had many such cases since, in the words of our undead POTUS.

Ezra and Laura have been in the writing for some time based on my observations. With everything Laura has gone through, etc., and this hateful tension between them, I do sense it becoming a "haters turned lovers" situation. I like Laura with Kevin, but it's been beyond clear TPTB have had little interest in using Kevin/Jon Lindstrom for some time, and he went to where he was going to be used.

Saying Cosgrove has never looked worse is hilarious. God forbid someone did not look like an adonis. Laughable. Beyond laughable, but expected, honestly.

And yet true! But whatever I think of his rough appearance onscreen, it's far less about that than the fact that the character remains scum who I wouldn't wish on any of the veteran women. Frank Valentini can stop playing swap meet with random recurring players to give all the olds peppy and cheap love interests any time.

Daniel Cosgrove does look awful, overweight and bloated. I was going to mention it earlier, but I was afraid the knives would come out. The fact is that he was a strikingly good-looking leading man back in the day, and we are now far, far from that.

And yeah, pairing him with Laura is bizarre, because he's barely shown an ounce of decency since arriving. If they do this, it'll just be more evidence that Laura has lost her mind. Maybe she should join the mob full-time.

I've been calling him Barbara Bush for months! I'm proud to take the hit.

But Cosgrove can always look better onscreen. It may not even be his fault, who knows. The issue is the character is just loathsome. He makes a reasonably compelling minor recurring villain, and DC seems at home with that stuff and having fun with it. The problem is FV loves to take any recurring actor who gets the slightest bit of response and try to build them out into legitimate pairings with people. Like, this (along with Martin/Tracy) is the kind of dogshít stuff Guza II used to toss at people they really didn't care about. Like when they flirted with trapping Mac and Alexis together.
