In my opinion, if BTG is going to do this impaler/plasma smuggling plot, then they need to hire a top-notch mystery writer (along the lines of dear departed Henry Slesar) to write it -- or at least serve as story consultant. There have been many wonderful soap opera writers who have fallen flat, when they tried to write a mystery plot. And I'm not convinced MVJ (as much as I love her) has what it takes to make this impaler/plasma storyline compelling.

The plot has just started, but already showing signs of weak writing -- by "telling" us the details, rather than "showing" the details. Every really good soap opera mystery storyline from the past has "shown" us enough to be believable; "told" us enough to be compelling, included several red-herrings to throw us for a loop, and ended with a shock or surprise. As much as I adore MVJ, I'm beginning to believe she is not the best person to lead this particular plot.

I agree 100%. The components are in place to create a broad-arc, Henry Slesar type mystery, that could affect a great number of characters. I'd been fully expecting Derek to become involved with Leslie's clinic, as that will put him in a position to get killed dead as a doornail protecting Ashley when the whole thing blows up. Sure enough, he's already been offered a job. So check that one off the list. I also predict the Eva/Kat rivalry will be a factor, as well as the Sexually Liberated Beautiful Nicole. Everything SEEMS to be lining-up for it. But I'm not sure I trust these "Lifetime Movie writers" to handle it effectively. (Producer Sheila Ducksworth freely admits that Slesar's Edge of Night was on her viewing list in the early 1980s.)

Nicole reacted to seeing Ted with Shanice by sleeping with Carlton and now she's reacted to Carlton's attitude by sleeping with Kial. Instead of making up for lost time she's spiraling and being very public about it. Hoe is a strong word but those vibes are definitely there. I am still banking on her utilizing the escort service.

to me its not the number but her behavior and how she's moving. I wanst okay with it but it was more palpable when she was just casually entertaining them, going on dates here and there. Now shes sleeping with both men and they BOTH work at her job. Thats beyond messy. If she was with someone else not connected to Ted or Carlton, that would be another thing but her d-pool is literally the guys on her floor

I thought Dani was VERY rude to Francesca today. The way she talked to that girl was out of line. Anastasia got called out for how she talked about Samantha but the same should be said of Dani, whom I actually expect better of. That comment about her getting a nose job was out of line especially since Dani was a teen model and raised one. Body shaming a teenager was disgusting of her

I've already said I'm concerned about the Impaler Plasma story.

Smitty pointing out clues on his yellow pad while he eats lunch in public with the undercover cop is not a good way to start. Neither is talking about guys getting beat up but showing none of it.

And look, how is Jacob the undercover guy, anyway? Wasn't he all over media when he arrested Dani for shooting a gun at Bill and Hayley's wedding? THIS is your undercover go-to?

I agree; showing skin does not make her a skank, a ho (hoe is a gardening tool), or loose. It's completely sexist to make these comments about a woman. Truly. And in 2026? Only in Trump's America.

At the very least Nicole is being intentionally exhibitionist and is juggling two men at the same time as a coping mechanism. Going from slightly conservative apparel to clubwear is spiraling. I don't think saying a character is a ho is sexist, it's just an opinion. Some people say they've had ho phases and I think that is what Nicole is trying to do.
