Hmmmm... a Theo/Gabi/JJ triangle?

I can get behind that. It could be good and messy. Adding Philip into it (and also Days remembering that chem test between Theo and Arianna) could make it even messier. Plus, I still think there's more that can be done with Gabi and JJ. I was never a fan of them being completely broken up. And it would be a better use of Casey Moss, who needs much, much more to do. Honestly, he should be leading Days right now.

I really enjoyed JJ's scenes with Theo though, and I'm glad that they were able to discuss and come to terms with everything that happened between them since Theo came back to Salem. I like that it wasn't dropped and that it came to a resolution, even though I wouldn't have minded the two of them continuing to be at odds. But I'm looking forward to seeing what happens, especially if they go there with them and Gabi. And they really should lol. Gabi and Philip's date was kinda sweet too. They haven't really set the world on fire as a couple, but I don't mind the two of them together. And with the secret of Gabi telling Tony about Philip's fraud hanging over them, it adds another dynamic to this potential mess with JJ and Theo.

But I still say that Days is missing the mark with Stephanie and Alex. Even with the stalker, she shouldn't be so OK with the fact that Alex is trying to keep secrets from her and basically controlling her life. As a couple, they're boring and they need more to do. There's so much good conflict that can be mined from all of this, especially if they were pushing a feud/rivalry/hatred between Alex and Jeremy. Days made a big mistake by not having Alex confront Jeremy and get into a brawl with him or something once Stephanie told him about Jeremy being ambidextrous. Which, in turn could've caused more conflict between him and Stephanie. And, eventually would lead her to another man. Xander, perhaps?

Speaking of Jeremy, as much as I think he's being wasted, I did enjoy his scenes with Julie today. They have a nice relationship and I liked that he has someone to talk to about how he's feeling. I think it helps us better understand his character. But just like with JJ, he needs much, much more to do. And hopefully that happens, now that Jada is bringing him in for questioning.

And, we got an update about Bo and Hope! I do like that they're playing a part in Stephanie's stalker storyline.

Right. Instead they ruin Dimitri by having him fall in love with Leo. Are you kidding me???

All the ingredients are there.

They could definitely have said that Dimitri and Andrew had a fling when Dimitri was in the ISA. And was actually in love with Andrew but chose to do all that crap in Beyond Salem, rather than be with him. And now in the storyline, the two of them could be determined to take each other down, but just like with Shane and Ilya, their feelings for each other often take over 😉😂😂

IKR? There isn't much we can agree on these days as a nation, but one thing I think we CAN agree on is that we all can't stand Crystal Chappell.

You know how much I have adored Deidre and Marlena over the years - hell, she's the only soap star I've ever written to and asked for an autograph! - but I've heard how jealous she is of Susan Lucci and how she sees herself as being on the same level as her; and to me, that's just INSANE.

I used to think Deidre was jealous of CC/Carly's airtime, but the more I have learned about Chappell over the years I have come to the conclusion Dee was on to something before everyone else lol.

To me, Marlena tops Erica Kane, but I realize that's not how most people see it lol. Like I said, there have been enough stories over the years to make me think Deidre can be difficult. I do think she mellowed a lot after she got fired though and I don't think she woke up one day and said I hate Suzanne for no reason. There was obviously a catalyst and it something neither can get over.

It shouldn't be so obvious on the show. They both should be more professional. There is no excuse. I was more responding to posts about Suzanne being some poor little victim of evil Deidre Hall. At least Suzanne got to appear in the masterpiece film "The Deidre Hall Story: Never Say Never" 😂

I don't mean to divert conversation, but in the most recent Soapy release, Greg Rikaart and James Reynolds both discuss that since the move to Peacock, there is less creative interference (from Peacock) in comparison to NBC. Makes me wonder if that's to the benefit or detriment of Days of Our Lives.

IDK about you, but I have made it one of my goals in life to see that adapted into a B'way musical, lol.

If DAYS is experiencing less creative interference from Peacock than they were from NBC, then it proves my point: it ain't always the network's fault. Sometimes, the people who actually write and produce the show just don't know good from bad.

Oh yeah! Suzanne or someone playing Suzanne tap dancing in red shoes while delivering Deidre's surrogate babies sounds like a performance I would watch!!

Going back to the discussion of Deidre/Suzanne, does she have that much input as to who she does or does not share scenes with?

I think Corday likes to keep everyone happy when he recognizes there's an issue. Which is why the infamous Peter Blake never returned to Salem in the last 28 years, and certainly would never be portrayed again by Jason Brooks. Especially once Corday and Missy made nice-nice again in 2000 (remember, he sued her for breach of contract when she tried to gets jobs at GH and B&B after abruptly leaving DAYS in late '95).

The fact that Never Say Never was never theatrically released is downright criminal.

Exactly. That makes the show even more embarrassing. They take no chances, they push no envelopes, they take no advantage of what cable can do vs. the network.

Many of us thought we'd get more of what Beyond Salem gave us, but no.
