Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18.
So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.

Yesss! I cackled when Dr. Wilkes told Leslie to Google him (check my credentials).

What is Elon's issue with Izaiah again? Considering we are supposed to believe that Izaiah was some troubled youth, why wouldn't Elon be gald his son has seemed to mature and has a job at a great school. I get that family wounds and patterns can run deep, and somehow Joey was a paternal figure to Izaiah but Izaiah's troubles seem behind him.

I've watched the show faithfully since the premiere, but I've found that I've let myself fall behind the past few weeks. It sort of feels like nothing is happening again. Does anyone else feel the same way? I would think for November sweeps they'd be pulling out all the stops.

Will concede it's moving along slowly, but I am still hinged on every word every second. I refuse to miss anything.

OTOH, I watch GH were things are moving along  little quicker, but I have to FF certain scenes because it's extremely repetitive, where I don't get that from BTG

Yes! I actually started typing something up the other day but ended up not posting. It pretty much said something to the effect of the show feeling like there were a lot of balls in the air, the stories almost felt aimless. I am sure most of these will come to a head soon enough. I also wondered if it had something to do with the changes behind the scenes, but these lulls between major moments truly kill the momentum.

GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!

I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?

I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.

I feel it could benefit from a focus on one of their three A stories or a solid B plot. But right before the turnover from Guza to Thomson, outside of all things Dani...there's nothing too A story-ish going on. Still entertaining for me, but it's noticeable that there is not a main story with other B/C stories going on. It's just...a bunch of stories going on.

I do hope the build to Winterfest and us actually seeing it THIS month will get things moving again.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

-- I love a good build, and the show has made me look forward to Winterfest. But some things seem so forced.

-- For example, the Vernon/Sharon meetups. GMAB. It's so obvious what this is and they're playing it too hard for too long.

I think one purpose is to make Leslie look like a fool, but it's hard to take. Is the tour over for Sharon? Does she sit in the hotel room all day long waiting for Vernon? Is he paying her bills? It's dumb.

-- Leslie is an awful human. I don't think she gives a rat's ass about Peaches. She cares more about Eva's sex life.

-- Izaiah and Eva have nice chemistry, but their conversation seemed forced to me. Didn't sound like first date dialogue and was too on the nose.

-- Shanice was great in taking down Leslie. I'm so glad the writing didn't have Leslie land the biggest smackdown. Dr. Wilkes was also great.

-- Again, Leslie is spending like she's worth a bajillion dollars. This has to be written for laughs.

-- I've done a complete turnaround on June. I now think she's a great addition.

-- Martin and Smitty are so concerned that Tyrell learn about Banneker that they call in a guy who started work there this week?

-- Tyrell is so much more mature than Samantha. I hate the way she treats him and talks about him in front of others.

She really sat there and asked Jessica why she's even with Tyrell. Samantha is pathetic.

Screenshot time:

-- If I can get Fish & Fries at Orphey Gene's for $5, why is a glass of juice $4 ?

-- That Mr & Mr sign at Martin and Smitty's is beyond lame and tacky.

Do not apologize for this.

I was thinking just today it's bringing me fond memories of when I was a teen of Angie and Jessie. Jenny and Greg, Philip and Beth. And although they were teens, Steve and Betsy.

I like a good teen story.

Who is monitoring her spending?

Maybe the upshot is that Leslie is spending way beyond her means and she'll end up broke again. The house will be repossessed etc,

Part of her comeuppance.

 Thank you.

That was part of my reasoning as well. I think about the days of Kevin, Joey, and Jessica on OLTL or Lucky/Liz/Nik/Sarah/Emily on GH or the Last Blast Kids on DAYS or the Glow by Jabot kids, and it takes me back. Sure I started soaps due to the older cast with their divas, but I do like to see people around my age back then, too. Great memories.

So I love a good relatable teen tale. Bullying. Hormones for the Bad Boy. College choices and internal conflict.

IIRC MVJ said the million was just the first piece of what Leslie got or was already owed, something they did make explicit in dialogue but not too explicit. Still, I am past worrying about it.

I do think they want 30-yo elder millennial Peaches in her Sophia Petrillo wig to be a point of pathos for Leslie. In theory I am fine with that, and don't dislike Peaches despite the jarring physical disconnect and need for a recast lol. But I do think they do a lot of B&B-style whizzing from Point A to Point C with Leslie on this kind of stuff - in one scene she is raising hell, in the next she is weeping over Peaches. There's very little transition to that sometimes that allows for the nuance, and that can be done much better and they can go much deeper with Leslie (and most characters). The newer/younger audience for the show may have less issue with this kind of quick change than we do.

    • It reminded me of what the Pollocks got away with all the time on THE DOCTORS: long ass flashbacks that don't really add anything to the scene except time.  Because, if you remove the flashback, what's left?  Monica finishes packing Alan's suitcase.  That's it, lol. Oh, well.  At least I got to see a young Patricia Elliott (ex-Renee, OLTL) in that Aim toothpaste commercial (not to mention, a shirtless James O'Sullivan (ex-Jeff, AMC; ex-Pete, OLTL) in the commercial for One-a-Day vitamins, lol).
    • Well, I can't help but think it would've been written different with CB still there
    • I could've sworn FV let other people direct either here or at OLTL. I may be wrong. IIRC Kimberly is now very active directing multi-cam/sitcom work. I'd forgotten she even did Netflix's One Day at a Time.

    • Thank you for the information.  I did listen to the entire interview with Miss Roux -- way back when it was first released.  But I am unable to recall her mentioning Connie Ford, and don't have time nor effort to listen to the entire thing again, just for one small morsel. So again, thanks for responding.    I do recall Roux sounded extremely fragile and perhaps a bit wounded in the interview. I almost felt guilty for even listening to it.  So perhaps that has some influence on my reluctance to listen to it again.  She seemed troubled, to say the least.
    • Boxer-briefs, huh?   Well...called it on Cane/Giggly Heffa hooking up so not surprised.
    • Do you have Addie’s first air date??
    • Even now Victor is always so warm with Ashley. I liked their brief re-pairing as well.
    • @depboy Thanks. That does help. @titan1978 @Paul Raven Really enjoying the analysis of the production methods and what Monty was doing.  I wish we got some of those biopics here that a few UK soaps got as a biopic on Monty's first few years at GH would be fascinating.
