Jason with the Q’s is exactly where he belongs. Sprinkle in some Sonny and Carly because you absolutely have to, the Q sphere needs to be his main hub. It just works after all these years.

There are times now, when trouble has started to boil over, and Jason and Tracy share a look. In the 2000’s I did not imagine Tracy and Jason being allies. But this time around, with Jason visibly showing the trauma he has endured since becoming Jason Morgan by having fuller access to his emotions, and Tracy warming in her relationships with people and especially her protectiveness with Michael, it feels organic. It is exactly where Steve Burton should be if he is on the show. The only thing missing for me is a purpose beyond the coffee warehouse, because that is a dramatic dead end. Imagine him and Spinelli as PI’s and owning a security agency. There is plenty of story to tell there that allows Jason to be outside the law a little bit without the full compromise of Sonny’s enforcer. Add in Felicia and you have an interesting set of characters to play off each other (I am forever wanting Felicia back as a private investigator!).

Something just occurred to me while catching up- Portia is going to be in a second story lying about a baby with the same man she did it to already! It had not really lined up for me right away because they spent very little time overall exploring that Trina twist, it barely matters now!

It’s why cheap stunts are fun but don’t work for me long term. Look at what being switched at birth did to Laura? She spent years being tormented as a teen because of what happened with Lesley. That line carries through now, it’s part of Laura’s foundation. Look at Lily on ATWT. That reveal is again the foundation of her character to me. Bo Brady on DAYS. All of those really shaped their characters. We know part of the reason why Trina isn’t fully explored as a character. But don’t do these kinds of twists with her then!

I am SO behind this idea. You can still get all your action scenes you want out of Burton without the burden of him just being a damn Hitman that everyone in town just accepts like it’s a normal 9-5 profession.

Damn, Erika Slezak KILLED it today. No joke, some of her better work. Jane also killed it in that very last scene, I felt those emotions.

Although, it's suspicious she was wildly drunk (or drugged), but then seemed to snap out of it quite quickly. I'm still curious to know what that was. I also still don't trust Ronnie haha, I feel like she's a con somehow, but we'll see.

I loved Alexa Havins on AMC, and she's such a great actress, but she seems to be sad on GH. I don't know if that's just the Lulu character or not, but something I've noticed... she just seems calm, but sad.

Today was full of juicy conflict and confrontation scenes. Of course, I loved the blow-up between Ronnie and Tracy, and the Jordan/Portia rivalry makes each character far more compelling. But my favorite adversarial scene of the day came from Drew and Alexis. If my suspicions are right about who actually shot Drew, it will be very interesting to have Alexis in the mix.

The choice to not use Taggert anymore after the reveal didn't help, but the main issue is the lack of respect or interest in Trina. The only reason there was much investment in Portia and her relationship with Trina was the way Portia could be an obstacle to Trina/Spencer and helped push Esme forward. I still wonder if they resent Trina to the point of not doing anything with her due to their not being able to have the Spencer/Esme material they wanted. I'd say it's because they just don't care about the black canvas, but even Jordan gets more to do.
