GOD I can't wait to see the orange idiot go into full meltdown. THIS GONNA BE FUNNY.

Cheers everybody! WE all did this together. The backlash was sooooooooo great and everyone did what they could.

CAN'T WAIT FOR TOMORROW!

The only thing that talks in this world is money. I'm happy people came together and made a difference the only way they could. Can't wait to see Jimmy Kimmel's returning monologue.

So glad for him and for free speech in general (for now). I know I'LL be watching!

Jimmy always has passion in what he has to say, especially when he sees injustices.

I just hope this isn't the beginning of watered down comedy in fear of pissing off the Führer.

This is just postponing the inevitable. Kimmel's contract is up in May 2026 and it will not be renewed. Disney/ABC will end late night on ABC and save millions. Glad he is back but he is either going to "retire" or his contract will not be renewed. Plus there will be new CEO at Disney in 2026 and Kimmel will be shown the door.

We'll see.

Kimmel has been there for over 20+ years. Never a ratings success and now this. Kimmel will be gone after his contract ends. Disney is smart - it will be a business decision. CBS is now out of the late night tv business and ABC soon will be. The money saved will be invested elsewhere. Network late night TV is dead.

This particular situation however was not about business. And we all know that. It was dictatorship in its purest form in blatant attempt to censure and silence critical opinion. The financial and ratings stuff was just smoke and mirrors.

Even if he is back for 1 day... After all that backlash... It's still a win in my eyes. He will have an opportunity to respond. And it's also the fact that Disney basically admitted they did a mistake and quickly changed their mind after losing billions of dollars due to cancellations.

Money talks, yes... But this time the people did the talking by pressing that cancel button. Good job, y'all.

And yet, after Kimmel was taken off the air, Disney faced protest from the creative community. On Monday, 400 celebrities — including people like Martin Short and Tom Hanks, who have created memorable characters for Disney in the recent past — signed a letter from the American Civil Liberties Union decrying the blow the maneuver delivered to free speech in America. First Amendment advocates from both sides of the political aisle have decried the situation in recent days.

The decision to bring Kimmel back was approved by Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, and Dana Walden, co-chair of Disney Entertainment, according to a person familiar with the matter. The executives acted based on what was best for the company, this person said, and not on external factors. Indeed, it remains unclear if all ABC affiliates will air Kimmel’s program. Spokespersons for Nexstar and Sinclair could not be reached for immediate comment.

And what if the Sinclair and the affilfates refuse to air Kimmel? Then what? I am glad he is back. I hope for his sake..he steers away from what he has been talking about and talks about other things.

Jimmy Kimmel has been doing political commentary in his monologues for years. This is nothing new.

The FCC chair Brendan Carr threatened Disney about the Charlie Kirk comment because of Carr's personal political agenda.  Carr contributed to writing the FCC portion of the Project 2025 document, and he seized this situation as a way to further his own agenda.
