Paulina had a hole in the seam of the arm in her dress today for the entire show and I couldn't stop staring at it lol.  I know the show has no money but take 5 minutes to fix a seam.

The rest of the show was kind of nothing.  I don't really get the point of a butler if everyone can just barge into the Dimera house.

I think we know what caused that hole, too:

I thought aspects of the DiMera lunch from hell worked, especially that establishing shot to end the scene after it all blew up. Dan F is very, very good as EJ. Dare I say, the best male actor on the show ... who gets material at least. On the other side of the coin is Peyton Meyer; I want to like him much more than I do but he seems like he takes a valium right before they say action in every single scene. It's so disappointing.

Tate's threats to never see EJ again are pretty hollow given how infrequently they share scenes together.  For example, does EJ even know that Tate lost his job?  Does Tate know that EJ is sleeping with Belle?  They live in the same house, but they live very separate lives.

And why wasn't Brady a part of this whole scene?  Is Amy the only grandparent who gets to decide what happens to the baby?  Also, what is Amy's social status?  Are they wealthy? And if she knows Nicole, how does she not know that she's divorced from EJ?

I liked the farcical energy today.  Doors slamming, people lying, and enemies trying to hide their distaste for each other.  I don't want it every day.  And I understand that it might not be appropriate given the gravity of the scenario.    But, it doesn't feel out of place on DAYS. Where even in the 1980s, humor was always one of the identifying features which separated it from other soaps.

Is this rage bait?

Thank you I thought I was taking crazy pills when I kept seeing so much praise for Doug 3. He’s so wooden and lifeless in every single scene.

Todays show was laughable stupid.

You're telling me that Sophia's mom didn't know who EJ Dimera is? She's never heard of the Dimeras?

Did the Scooby gang actually think this would work?

Doug 3😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

-- I'm perfectly fine with Peyton Meyer's portrayal as Doug 3. I think it's intentional, and that it's working for the character.

-- Gabi's and Jada's scene about Arnold and Rafe had me rolling my eyes and throwing my head back  like Dan F. at a circuit party. Neither of them could tell Arnold was Fake Rafe but they know "in their hearts" that Rafe is still alive? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

-- I love adoptions that have zero involvement with authorities. Regardless, I'll let you know when having a baby helps the Johnny/Chanel pairing in any way.

I think @j swift meant to write Johnny not Tate.

@Bright Eyes, Caroline is correct, as she knows, I can't keep the names of all these generic handsome men straight. 📏😉

No rage intended, just stupidity on my part.

I am honestly fine with Doug3.  I don't think PM is stellar or anything, but he isn't worse than Carson Boatman or even Leo Howard.  That's probably only faint praise, but I find the new Sophia much more distracting to the Holly/Tate/Doug/Sophia story.  That actress is a miss.

I kind of enjoyed that lunch-gone-wrong, too. This is the right "size" of story for current Days, with its budget limitations, to be telling. It was a little overly silly, and it's crazy that Amy Choi somehow doesn't know who Stefano DiMera was, but the idea of it and the scenes were fun.
