That’s two days in a row now that Marlena was used effectively 👍

I liked her counseling Johnny over everything that’s happening with him and Chanel. Chanel’s procedure seems very sudden and random though. I think there needed to be some more buildup to that, before she just went right ahead and did it. And kept it from Paulina too. But I did like Paulina using her own history with Lani as a way of cautioning Chanel about adopting Tate and Sophia’s baby.

Still not feeling nuSophia though. She plays it like too much of a victim or pushover and that’s not the way the character should be, and hasn’t been since she made her debut. And the lies that she told Amy were a little ridiculous. Kinda not looking forward to when Amy meets Johnny and Chanel. And yeah, I know that this is a nitpick but nuSophia’s voice is so monotone too 😂😂

This whole adoption thing would be a lot better and a lot more compelling to watch if EJ and Kristen’s bullshit prevented it, which could also cause problems for Johnny and Chanel as well. And considering the spoilers, I hope it does.

And, I still love the Julie/Doug III relationship despite the whole necklace thing hanging over them. I’m curious to see where how that storyline is going to play out. And how the Doug III/Sophia/Tate triangle is gonna play out as well.

Weirdly low key Friday show but relieved to have a break from Jada and Leo was absent too so that's a win.

I actually like this adoption story. Everyone in it is likable and I can't wait to see Paulina and Amy go at it. Hope Chanel is ready to lie about her Bible group lol

Holly/Doug and Tate/Sophia are clearly the better pairings.

Maybe it's just me, or where I am, but there is no way to me that Sophia's mom is likable!!! But, yes, the set-up for confrontation is right there, ready made. Janel are NOT "wholesome Christians". Never have been.

I can't see that, at least not yet.

Doug3 & Julie, interesting. Also of interest Julie's letter from Steve. But, I don't like how much Julie thinks so highly of Doug3. Why does she? Julie isn't stupid. Also if anyone is worldly, Julie is.

What kind of cancer cells did Chanel have?

I have to agree with @AbcNbc247 about Sophia.  MK was a real find.  The recast is merely adequate.  I am not sure why Days can't keep their younger cast.  Hopefully nuSophia will improve, but MK had the right mix of sympathetic schemer from day one.

Hang in there! 👍

We're in the home stretch now 😂😂😂

Days is SOOOOOO boring right now. Rafe/Fake Rafe. Dumb stuff. This was approved by Janet Spellman-Drucker.

Don't expect miracles. Remember that Corday, Peacock Execs and the god awful Spellman-Drucker are still there. They all approved the Body & Soul storyline. Ron pitched storylines and had to get them approved by his bosses before they made it to air. His bosses approved Body & Soul.

I'm glad that Ron Carlivati was immediately hired by Michele Val Jean!

I agree with you completely about Corday and especially Janet Spellman-Drucker, who I don't think has added anything to the show. They definitely share blame for the Body & Soul debacle.

But then you say you're glad Carlivati was immediately hired by Michele Val Jean. Huh? He's as much to blame for the mess that is DAYS. I realize he won't be plotting BTG, but for me his hiring isn't a cause for celebration.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but @TEdgeofNight has always been a hardcore RC fan.  And, variety is the spice of life.  So, I don't think it is difficult to understand.

I don't enjoy the dialogue (for which RonC is not responsible), but I give him respect for some unique plot twists.  For example, the Xander/Alex name confusion over the will, and his surprising take on evil twins/amnesia with the current Arnold plot.  He rarely sticks the landing, but many of his initial story ideas are intriguing.  And, you have to respect his passion for the history of soaps.  Unlike Jamey, who I feel is a hack, RonC is a soap fan that made his dreams come true, and that is worthy of admiration.

Ron treats soaps like a joke. There is nothing admirable about being terrible at your job just because it was a dream. I’ve watched his work on three different shows now. Reading some history and bringing back old characters to be nothing like their past or just to kill them off isn’t passion of the history.

Agree with all points, especially the last one.

Losing Madelyn Kientz was huge compared to thus unnatural, awkward alien creation now known as Sophia Choi. Under her original portrayer, Sophia could have been a long-standing character who a family was eventually built around, Kientz was that good. Now I just want her to go away as fast as possible. At least now Abigail Klein is the second worst actor on the show.

So many worst actors to choose from.😂

Mine still goes to RSW, with Carson Boatman not far behind.

But new Sophia sucks. She's not a good actress.

I enjoy being unpopular.

I actually met and spoke with Ron Carlivati in P-town.

Keeping this to Days, yes he was burned out. He was fired from Days and got hired by MVJ immediately!

I’m finding much interesting on Days. It’s boring.

Say it louder for the people in the back!  I agree with all of that.

The show is a mess right now, and ending Body & Soul doesn't end what's wrong with it. In fact, it magnifies the problems with the rest of the show.

We have 2 more months of Ron Carlivati's garbage -- that is a LONG time.

But hey, Janet Spellman-Drucker is working hard. Today we got a drone shot of Salem with everything covered in snow. She's such a visionary!  (Of course, just ignore all that snow when you see characters at Salem Square).
