The original Rachel Blake seemed like a decent person who had suffered a lot, and Marlena tried to help her.

Kristen and Peter Blake were sociopaths who considered killing their mother Rachel Blake because she was in the way of their plans, but they were interrupted and didn't follow through.

Spoiler

That's why I am guessing she's a ghost or a hallucination - I mean, how else did she keep her gown so white for 20 years?

I wonder if he’ll talk about how he was sacrificed for one of the worst Days characters ever

I missed it!

Hopefully I'll watch it later tonight!

Javi/Leo… Skip

I was actually more interested in where they were sitting. Is that supposed to be a new set and restaurant? Or was the Small Bar redesigned?

And, all this stuff with Aremid and the Blakes needed to be established a lot better. Btw, Aremid is now only a few miles outside of Salem. 😂😂

Holly/Doug III was the best part of today, even though their scenes were ruined by Leo. They’re actually really sweet together and I’m still enjoying them. The only thing they need to do in this storyline is to have Doug III be in more scenes with Tate, and really build up the rivalry between them. The way Doug III spoke about him today, you would think that they’ve known each other for years. They really need to push it because at this moment, this is one of the best storylines on the show right now. Doug III was looking good today too.

And yeah, Doug III working for Leo…

The last thing we need is another character to be swallowed up by this Body&Soul nonsense.

And I still can’t help but think that there was some interference in their storyline, mostly because of the way Leo acts around him. In the old days, Leo would’ve been harassing and blackmailing him, even if Javi was in the picture. And, once he heard that Doug III needed a job, would’ve hired him as the stripper at Jada’s bachelorette party. Maybe they want to write Leo as a better person or something but they also tried that in 2022 and in 2023 and look what happened.

And once again, Sophia had bigger balls than Tate and also had a much better idea for the baby than he did, so I was a little surprised to see her get on board with his idea so quickly. I do like that Tate still seems more concerned about Holly though. That’s a good, messy beat that could explode at some point.

Now that I'm caught up, yeah, from the moment Rachel/Woman In White said Ava was the problem and lil Rachel had to get rid of her, the whole thing rang false. Rachel of 1996 would have said the exact opposite.

I'm loving the nods to the past (kudos to Stacy Haiduk for lighting up when she mentioned The Parrot Man; you'd almost believe she had played the role back then instead of Eileen) and I love the fact that we're revisiting Aremid after nearly 30 years, but they've already gotten the Lady in White's motives all mucked up.

And of course, we have a sad 2025 version of the once-large and beautiful Blake family home (and it was their actual home, not their "summer home" as Kristen said on Friday's show).

I've got it!!!

Maybe RonC resigned, because there was nothing left of DAYS history to mine for new stories (the possession, Aremid, Renee, masks, etc...)?😎😉🥵

Well, it wouldn't be the first time Ron performed character assassination on a returnee.

(I'm looking at you, Diana Colville.)

I refuse to believe that person was the real Diana Colville.

Same here. I would happily write that Judith Chapman's character stole Diana's identity for the Colville fortune and she admits this to Leo when she learns she's dying. This has Leo leave Salem in search of Diana, who may or may not still be alive. Him leaving mysteriously just like she did in decades past.

On Friday, I thought for sure that the Woman in White was a ghost/apparition/hallucination.  She needed Rachel to dial the phone, and help hold the candlestick.  So, it made sense that she was not a corporeal being.

But, today, I'm not as sure, because she seemed to be able to move Ava in the chair (at least they got a new wheelchair from the one used by Sarah).

Also, given her past, I'm not sure why Ava continues to investigate things on her own.  Just a few months ago, her friend Melinda was being held hostage.  Before that, she was assaulted in her apartment, rather than waiting for Stefan.  And she almost got shot looking for Clyde. Girl, get some backup!  (and remember that Stefan owns the Bistro).

Small Bar got bigger, which is ironic.  But, that means it is time for my favorite game: What time is it in Salem?  It is the same day that Rachel ran away.  But, Holly, Tate, and Sophia are out of school.  Yet, Leo and Javi are having drinks.  Is it cocktail time?  Is it later?  Is this still the same day that Bonnie fell down the elevator shaft?  Who knows?

Yeah… today had to be the Jamey episode.

Everything felt like a big joke, there was a random time jump, and a lot of cliches, pointless filler and out of character crap. And just general overall stupidity. Fake Rafe has been pretending for like over a month now and he hasn’t realized yet that Javi’s gay? I mean, come on.

And was Chanel shouting, “Dang, Mama” to Paulina supposed to be a little *wink wink* to The Parkers?

But I also have to admit that it wasn’t as bad as other Jamey episodes. And I’m still surprised that on a Ron-written show, there was a female stripper but not a male stripper 😂😂 Is this the first time that ever happened?

Shawn going to find Chanel was random too but I don’t completely hate the idea of something happening between them. And I was really looking forward to EJelle 2.0. They didn’t get a shot last time and I hope that Days runs with it now… until Belle ultimately goes back to Shawn lol

Good lord! Not Aremid!

Apparently, Ron was intent on bringing back all the old favorites on his way out the door.  (Get ready, folks, because next month?  The Cruise of Deception sets sail once more!)

To be fair, that would require building a whole new set, and so far "Aremid" is just a bunch of muslin curtains that were probably repurposed dust covers.😉
