The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest

If I were Gina I'd stay away from the rest of the soaps - Victoria is a dead character, no matter who plays her, and Y&R seems to just spit out talented actresses and make them look bad in the process (Maura West being the latest).

I hope Tracy can find some happiness.

Hope so! Although IF Sam is pregnant, Monica BETTER be involved in this kids life. And I wouldn't mind Monica/Sam developing a relationship. It would make me happy to see Monica have someone to treat like a daughter. Since all of her children are dead.

If she's going to stir things up then I can see her having some conflict with Tracy. Unless this means she's going to tell Sam she isn't good enough for Jason or whatever.

Years ago I used to complain about all the "It's my house" stuff but if it led to some fun comedy I wouldn't mind seeing some of the bickering again.

DD this morning had Monica back and spitting mad because she's found out about all the "secrets" people have been keeping from her. The biggest one of those of course, was Jake. Tracy knew about Jake and was only outwardly concerned about how it would effect Edward. It's not a stretch to imagine Monica and Tracy will have words.

As for the "my house" thing, I thought that schtick was getting played too much. I know it was meant for comedy but its like the knock-knock joke kids tell - it ain't funny anymore.

Ok, so after much protest, I finally made myself watch Friday and yesterdays show. I'll admit I was fuming when they first showed Luke with that hooker Lupe, and of course, him cheating on Tracy. But as some have said Luke is in a downward spiral and wants everybody who loves him to hate him and let him go. This includes Tracy as Lucky and Luke mentioned her more than once yesterday. As much hurt as Luke is causing Tracy she is no different than his own son/kids. The things Luke said to Lucky were more painful than him cheating on Tracy. I know how that sounds but its true, he clearly wants to be left alone to die, believing he is beyond redemption.

Since Tony isn't going anywhere (as of yet) the story can and will continue. Luke will come back! He has nowhere else to go but up.

That's what I'm seeing too, Nex. GW has a few months in which to do that, but the rebuild of Luke and LuNacy won't happen until TG returns. In the meantime it will be interesting to see how the rest of the Spencers cope - or don't cope, which seems more likely. The fact that Tracy is mentioned so often shows how important she is to this family even if she isn't actually seen. When was the last time one of them mentioned Bobbie? Lucas? Morgan? or any other Spencer outside of Luke's line?

They mentioned Bobbie on Friday. Lucky talked about her for a few minutes to Siobhan. He was describing her entire past.

It seemed so WTF to me that these characters can REPEATEDLY acknowledge Bobbie when talking about Luke's past, but not feel the need to let her know what's going on now?

I dunno Baby Boy…. I can't remember the last time Bobbie was really mentioned. An announcement over the PA or someone commenting about how she wants Kelly's run isn't the same as talking about her life. Perhaps this is an indicator of things to come. We can hope. At this point maybe Bobbie will be the one they use to finally get through to Luke. His wife and kids don't seem to make headway. She was there and knows the person of his deepest fears. It's worth crossing our fingers for at any rate.

I totally agree. These past weeks were the first time they actually talked about Bobbie, not just mentioned her name. I'm hopeful.

Not only because I love Bobbie and want to see her, but because her character is very needed in this storyline. Moreso than anyone, IMO. Yes Tracy and the children are very important, but like you said, Bobbie was the one who was there with Luke when Tim Spencer was in their lives.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
    • It does seem cheap and lazy for this show to have just one family. Passions was heavily criticized but it was nicely structured with a total of four families.
    • I think it was definitely a surprising reveal in the storyline. I had a hard time appreciating Evan because I couldn't get behind his interest in Amanda. But that's because I never thought Sandra Ferguson made her a compelling character (although to give her credit she occasionally had decent emotional scenes with Mac or Rachel).
    • I'll even go further... I'll make her re-think BeLief and create a new patent. Brooke needs stuff to do. Anything other than beg or be in her panties. We need her to be creative. But sadly Bradley has a very low opinion of these characters. To him Brooke is nothing more than sex and scandal... or a pathetic doormat. Ridge is nothing more than a chauvinist pig that needs to pit women against each other to feel like A MAN and Steffy is nothing more than her father's guard-dog. I don't even want to open my mouth about Hope. She is such a fiasco in my opinion... I will not suffer if they kill her off. Bradley pooped on her character and now it's too late to fix it. Annika is great and I would hate to see her go, but slutty Hope was not her thing. The vibe was missing.
    • I've seen Jason interact with Mitch and annoy him. That's as far as I recall. I didn't even have a slight idea that Evan had a vendetta against Rachel... That came as a surprise to me. I thought Evan was Iris's dog and that's it. Now he's definitely more interesting.
