Well...

Team Lucy. Even if it is putting her in BLQ's hands to get the company out of Tracy's hands, Lucy was doing nothing, but telling the truth. As a reality star once said...this is not American's Next Best Friend. Deception is a BUSINESS. And the person mostly responsible for that has always been Lucy so of course, she will be professionally over her own feelings. And the audience has been aware of how Lucy sees Sasha as a daughter at times so I'm sure it hurt (and LH showed it), BUT...BUSINESS.

Awww at the Laura/Heather scenes this week. I love them tapping into that history...history that I didn't even know they had. That's how you mind history while going forward in another direction.

And just when Jason Return storyline was basically C plot for the week, it gets the Friday cliffhanger. And Diane with the phone call and not being surprised when Jason got ahold of her...PRICELESS. And he could tell her everything about what's going on with John and she can't say a thing. So hopefully we are about to get some answers.

I still feel it's a thin line between love and hate and Drew is going to wind up bedding Nina in a fit of hate sex. But...we'll see.

I thought it was a good week and it feels like the rhythm has been found. Can't wait until next week.

I love me some scoundrel Scotty, too.

I agree. It would be nice to have seen Laura trying to pick up the pieces. But alas. It's like Carly over this past year or so since the end of Nixon Falls and her marriage to Sonny. Outside of the Florida remote and her relationship with Drew, it was nice to see her pick up the pieces after losing everything to Nina and growing...not only into herself, but into taking up the name Spencer. I actually found that resonating though mind you I am not a fan of Carly's.

Exactly!

Not a discussion that we had, except to note that since she said they let her know 6 months ago, that they were likely planning on how they would drop out NAC & so some things seem strange in the way they made use of Esme, Baby Ace, Spencer & Trina, pure fan spec & analysis.

My personal opinion us that Frank and/or whomever simply did not want to change the character & were willing to lose her instead. Perhaps they had thought amnesia would be effective & when it wasn't they were fresh out of ammo. Why do you think they cut her loose?

I think that the producers really liked Avery Pohl but the writers didn't know what direction to go with Esme. When the production was dark in July they decided to write out the character when the regular writers returned from the strike. I think they told her she was being let go in August when production resumed. She continued working until December, so the long notice reflects an appreciation of her. I don't think the actress pissed off anybody behind the scenes.

No, I don't think she did either. I don't think this is in any way about bad behavior! Nope. I figure their working her longer than they thought reflects the confusion about when NAC would be gone. They thought he was going out before the strike, didn't happen, then the strike. I believe there was fair amount of logistical UGH.

Rick Webber 2002

I wish they never did that crap. Rick only ever cheated with Monica. He was not a serial cheater. That was his brother Jeff.

He should be alive.

I love Sprina but honestly some of the Sprina fans on Twitter

Supposedly NAC unfriended Taby there  and some are like is he whitewashing GH

Nope, his twitter still has his GH tweets up from when he began on twitter

Some like to be petty and have conspiracy Theories  UGHHH

It went around ages ago that he scrubbed GH from everything. Also that he made his farewells to everyone at the studio. And whether these are just things going around or there is some kernel of truth driving the paranoia, etc. it's really totally irrelevant. It's up to GH. If they want him back when he finishes filming, supposedly in May, to have him for (I think) 45 days till end of June, they will have him back. If they prefer to go ahead & recast, they'll do that. No amount of fan discussion is going to make any difference!

Some Sprina fans are delightful.

Then there are others. So, I hear you & I feel ya!

I thought that Spencer would start airing again in May. You say that NAC might only start shooting again in May, so Spencer's return would then happen in June. They shoot July and August episodes in June, so 45 days of work would end up with 90 days of episodes. NAC would air from June to August.

They shoot out of order. And, at times WAY out of order. Something that is taped Monday could air 5 weeks later. Something that is taped Monday could air 2 days later. And, everything in between. It is not possible to do the kind of computation that you're thinking of. But, if he tapes for 6 weeks that might yield 6 weeks of air shows. Or it might yield more. It's just according.

And, he might not be brought back at all.

I believe the latest info on when he will finish the Ryan Murphy project is May but I have no idea when in May.

But it might just mean that someone new is doing PR for him & they told him unilaterally to "erase" the soap from his internet profile. Someone said he is no longer even following his family but just new people & people affiliated with Ryan Murphy.

I want to share what one Jex shipper posted to illustrate what this past week was like for them.

As a rule I do not FF anything on a soap I watch. IMO inevitably you will miss something & it might be something that is going to change where you might like it better, etc. But also I don't watch any soap for one character, one actor, one couple, I try to be open to the whole show. Now, I don't succeed. I have people on my personal cut lists, of course! Nothing could change my mind about my hatred of Violet, for example. Sexy Dexy & Joss are fairly hohum for me, though. No hatred centered there. It was hard to get myself to do that, not FF, but I just stuck with it. I wonder at times if I'm the only person crazy enough to force myself to watch things that make me go UGH.

I went into a Twitter Spaces earlier being held by some of SprinaNation & just listened for awhile. People were speaking making a whole lot of sense. The topic basically was that NAC was not being racist by scrubbing his social media contacts, specifically including Taby. They pointed out that this is something many actors are asked to do & do for their current projects. Blake Lively completely changing all of her social media contacts for a movie was given as an example. One thing that was said that I've seen & heard a lot there is that when THE GATES is underway if GH is not giving good story to black actors, then they are outta there. I think that is a great example of the marketplace speaking loud & clear.

    • The most beautiful thing about getting into a new soap opera is getting to know the characters yourself and figuring everything out slowly. And EON is one of the easiest when it comes to that. Pretty soon you are so well oriented in who is who and what are their motivations. I only struggled with the episodes before Mansion of the damned started.  Then after that it's pretty smooth sailing.
    • I don't hate Hayley but she would absolutely cry about falling for Jacob.
    • @BroderickThank you for the reply. Such acting that they Sharon Gabet and the actor playing Draper still played their relationship after it's over. I picked up on it even though I had no idea about their history. That's such good acting/continuity.  Raven has just moved to London and a custody battle is now brewing for Jamey.
    • Ha-ha-ha, I thought it was Marland who turned Mike into a jerk, but apparently not. I get that they probably felt the Mike/Leslie story had run its course, but they should have at least let them have a kid. Especially since they were soon ensnaring him in a storyline with a woman who couldn't have children (Elizabeth). Of course, no one could have predicted there would be a dearth of Bauers a few years later. I remember this! I remember Holly sitting by the phone, desperate for Ed to call so they could stop the divorce. I forgot it was Rita who never gave him the message. What a bitch.

But, yeah, this is the Rita I remember at the beginning: very determined to bag Ed. I contend that Holly never, ever got over it, never stopped regretting that the divorce went through. I wish at some point over the years they had let Holly and Ed reunite for more than a brief affair. It feels like a thread that was left hanging. There she is! I was beginning to think I had dreamed up the Rita/Tim/Evie triangle.
    • In the interview posted on knotslanding.net, William Devane described the Greg/Paige storyline as "juvenile".  From that interview I also got the impression that William Devane was on his way out near the end so he wouldn't have returned if there was a season 15.
    • Just started this show. I’m on episode 3. I’m starting to make the connections and understand the family tree better. Still will take time to fully understand everything but it’s exciting. So glad we have a new soap opera in 2025! Excited to join the discussion once I’m caught up.
    • Haley and Jacob had more chemistry in their small interaction than I ever saw between Naomi and Jacob. Same with Haley and Derek actually - that was one of the few times I can recall Derek ever having any life in him.
    • -- Anita going through Ted and Nicole's wedding album. Really??? -- Dani defending Ted in her conversation with Nicole. Really??? -- Bill wants a child with Hayley. Really??? -- Many people are saying "Dana can't be Eva's mother" because of the way Dana treats her. Maybe she's not her mother, but that biological connection has nothing to do with it. Dana has functioned as Eva's mother all of her life. There's no reason to believe giving birth to her makes the difference. -- Hayley is hilarious for being so clueless and tone deaf when she comments on others' mistakes and flaws. God, she's dumb. -- Alex Alegria continues to suck as Tomas. Soooooo wooden. -- Ambyr Michelle stole the episode.
    • I was fine with Greg and Paige as a couple (ick factors and all, lol).  What I didn't like was how juvenile their push-and-pull was, with Greg alienating her repeatedly and arbitrarily, and Paige leaving him and/or The Sumner Group in a huff, only to come back together, like, thirty minutes later, lol. I get that Greg was not someone who enjoyed sharing his feelings with others, but c'mon.  He was a little too old for all that on-again/off-again [!@#$%^&*]; and so was Paige, and so were we. Mary Robeson wasn't her aunt, though.  Thanks to WBTV's Primetime Soaps app, I was able to rewatch all of S14, and I learned, in fact, Mary was her aunt - which I guess made Joe her uncle? Truly, I thank the streaming gods for being able to rewatch the final season, because, for the past 30+ years, I never was able to understand how Mary and Joe, Nick and Vanessa, Val's disappearance and Treadwell (and Abby) all fit together; and even now, it still seems a trifle sketchy to me.  (The shortened season and reduced budget wreaked some havoc on the storytelling, did it not, lol?)  But I do appreciate the attempt, because it's probably the first time since Val's pregnancy that the show even attempted to tie the cast together under the same story umbrella. And even if she was trepidatious (sp?) about raising Meg alone, she wasn't the type to express those feelings outwardly.  Laura wasn't going to fidget and cry like Val, or shout wild-eyedly at others like Karen.
