Ok, can somebody please burn that bird costume that Theresa’s wearing?

Today, Alex was a dick to Justin for no reason. But I didn’t mind it. It’s in character and it does play into his storyline. And thankfully, there was no prop writing in his scenes. And a lot less prop writing in general.

I’m still impressed by Tate. He’s actually a pretty good actor. He can really hold his own with everyone he’s been working with and I’m looking forward to what may happen. I think it would be really interesting if they were able to tie everything with Holly and Tate to the storyline with the baby somehow.

Johnny and Chanel’s scenes and flashbacks didn’t fit into the episode but Johnny looked hot. They really do make an attractive couple.

And, I know that this is a nitpick, but what court is open on New Years Day lol

The Johnny/Chanel scenes were totally out of place lol.  They don't do that much either, but I still find them much more interesting than Wendy/Tripp.

Alex being angry at Justin is so annoying.  I am also annoyed Alex immediately started calling Justin by his first name.  The man raised you for 30 plus years.

Both the actor that plays Tate and the actress who plays Holly are great finds.  These are the type of actors Eden McCoy should have been competing against at the Emmys.

I am also really ready for the Abe memory thing to be done.  Can we move on and focus on Paulina and her illness now?  I feel like Abe lost his memory so long ago.  All the momentum is gone now.

Both pairings are boring and add nothing to the show. Ship Johnny and Chanel to Paris and send Wendy somewhere else.

Johnny doesn't even have a job.

I guess I’m the only one who still calls Stephen Nichols’ character Patch but that’s what I grew up knowing him as and that was his name in the credits for the entirety of his first run.

I loved that Ava called him Patch.

I’m not kissing up to him. I hate what he did to Marty on OLTL. I happen to think he is the best-possible writer for Days. He brings the kind of storytelling I used to get from my fave, JER. We’d never get my favorite characters back if he left.

    • Corey was the first. Then Ingo 5-6 months later. And then Vince was the last gasp.
    • Funny, that's the one I loved the most!
    • And then to break the trend, Thorsten Kaye (German-British) on OLTL.
    • @ReddFoxx I adored Eva and Leslie's fashions. Bringing back the 80s, LOL.

They're different characters, for sure. Dani is a "Have" but she still has the underdog, aspirational element, and yearning, for Independence. Similar to Erica Kane. When the show gets to digging into Anita's career; I want them to reveal more unresolved issues between the two. I would find it believable for someone like Dani to have grown up with resentment and complex issues being surrounded by BRILLIANCE from every corner.
    • So yesterday I wandered off on a tangent about Elvis Presley, off the top of my head. Probably no one cares but I want to correct facts. Elvis Presley did have a twin who was stillborn. They named him Jesse Garon Presley & in a level of their emotional life he was very real to Elvis's mama & to a lesser degree to Elvis himself. I will now return you to your regularly scheduled discussing post-Ron prattle.
    • They are the absolute stars for me. I’m delighted every day that my feelings about them from the special on the show, turned out to be that and so much more. I genuinely feel episodes are better when they’re featured. This cracked me the hell up especially with Leslie listening

. This episode was so good, I will be rewatching when I get home tonight. THIS was classic soap opera.
    • I can barely remember who was the person they tested her with for the AMC revival but I *do* remember kinda liking them together (anyone remember better?  lol)  But yes, I feel the same.  It might not help that when I became a regular viewer Tad was presumed dead and she was with Craig...  I do remember that my sister's best friend had been an AMC viewer with her mom and dad and that they were very excited that Tad was returning... OK I instantly remembered that.  And now once again I'm sad about what coulda been with the reboot.
    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
