That's correct http://www.feuxdelamour.com/guide.pdf Some of the episode numbers here are wrong because the preemptions were not confirmed until the recent posting of Nielsen data (though this document is very well-researched and they did an excellent job), but that one isn't effected. These dates are in a French format so 4/2/93 is February 4.

I so wanted that to happen because they had real heat and when Jill was coming off her divorce she could have done with a younger man. If Jill had been the spoiler between Nina and Victoria's rivalry over Ryan that would have been fabulous and hilarious.

I had also hoped for the same with Jill and Malcolm. They had some great scenes as friends in the late 90s and early 00s - totally believable chemistry.

Wow, this is exciting news. I am sure JG will mess this up majorly, but I am excited just the same. AH and JEP actually had chemistry on All My Children. It will be nice to see Victoria with someone she lights up with. I definitely think Claire is baby Eve all grown up and scorned.

Cole's comeback is way overdue-a pity the writing probably won't be  there. See Cameron and JT, Stitch etc

With so many vet characters, the only way to keep them viable is to dig into their pasts. Cole  was married to both Ashley and Victoria so the triangle can be revived.

Makes more sense for the characters than falling in love again (with either a newbie or matching them up with someone already there) and have them carry on like they haven't been married 6 times previously.

This was already posted in the Zenk thread, but I'll add it here, too:

She references the movie "All About Eve"...
it could be simply that Aunt Jordan has some manipulative qualities like Bette Davis' character,  and the direct quote from the movie about seat belts.

But maybe she's hinting this Y&R storyline is
All About (baby) Eve.

It's been 25 years since baby Eve death and I haven't seen her death episodes since they originally aired. I remember there was a memorial service but I don't remember if Victoria actually saw baby Eve before her death.

    • Not me, I am having withdrawals, I need that soapy drama lol
    • I faintly remember the tv movie where Ted Danson played the lead.. my late mom liked the movie and she also read a few of the novels and enjoyed them.
    • Columbia is the U.S. release. CBS is the international release.

    • Paula and Jeanne’s first time writing Alex and Stephanie. It didn’t seem like there were any changes in Alex at all lol but I can’t help  but think that that’s more on RSW than the writing. I didn’t see a big change with Stephanie either, but I did enjoy her scenes with Kayla, whose character has gotten so much stronger since last week. I hope we get to see a lot more of their relationship, and their relationship with Steve as well. As for Steve and Shawn stealing the drug to try to save Bo, idk. I don’t dislike it, but I just don’t know lol but I also think that it is time for Steve to pass the torch on to the next hero.  And finally, Javi showed some kind of spark! I was a little worried in his first scene today that he was going to continue to be so obsessed with Leo, but him demanding that Leo drop the investigation into Rafe and Gabi could actually be pretty interesting. I don’t think that would’ve happened under Ron. And if we’re forced to endure Javi/Leo, let them at least have some kind of actual conflict, instead of the forced, biased crap that we were subjected to. And speaking of Leo, one year ago today, he got Dimitri’s letter

Btw, why is Gabi so beholden to Javi? Cousin or not, if I was her, the minute he said to her, “If he goes, I go”, I would’ve been like  Also, are they going to go there with Philip and Gabi? I’d prefer that than Gabi getting involved with Alex.
    • She does look good in blue. I wish they'd do more with her hair, change it up the way JMW does now and then
    • Hahaha - this is hilarious (and a ton of wigs at use!). The closing shot!!! LOL
    • Yes. I don't know if Lenore was ever asked. Then it became a nun. Thanks. I didn't realize it was in 1987. That timeline doesn't make a lot of sense even if she would have had Ed to interact with. If they didn't ask her back in 1989 and she was willing, what a stupid error. The attempts at these feuds, or even the whole families tied together stuff like Maryanne Carruthers, never had any real impact because of how depleted the Bauers felt even by the mid '80s. And instead of expanding them, which would have been common sense, various producers were just too lazy, or too ashamed, and kept bringing on other families, or bringing in too many people at one time and not knowing how to write for them (the Spauldings in the McTavish era - as SOD said at the time, everyone in the family had the same personality).
    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
