I guess we'll see how Janet affects what we're seeing on screen - or if it's just business as usual. We know that Ron didn't want to do the devil storyline (which was a demand from the higher ups), plus the inability for the show to retain the actors wasn't exactly his choice - by all accounts they killed off Abby because they couldn't get the actresses to commit to doing the show.

That is if Ron comes back at all after the strike is over.

They did about 80 permutations with the devil before it was over. Whether RC initially was into it or not he certainly ran with it whole-hog.

And I'm sorry but I don't buy that he isn't for most of the actor swapping. He originated the trend forcefully and proudly at GH. Having little cameo gigs from Eileen Davidson alongside Stacy Haiduk and then inventing a whole new and even more obnoxious character for Rob Wilson seems right up his alley. His ego long ago made him a firm believer that for soaps he is the last man standing, the true north and that he can and will sell an audience on any choice or die mad trying.

A lot of proposals in todays episode. I really hope the payoff is worth the buildup. And I’m glad Chloe put the breaks on with Xander. It’s too soon for them lol

Temp Eric seemed ok. Idk if this is the right word to use, but he seemed a lot more happier in his scenes today then Greg Vaughan usually does. Not that Greg doesn’t do a good job though lol and am I the only one who thinks Jason resembles Peter Reckell a little?

And as for Leo, all I’m gonna say is I really, really hate when awful people keep getting rewarded for their awful behavior. He deserves to suffer. Maybe I’m wrong for feeling that way but I just do.

Because the writing often gets a little misogynistic at times.

Sometimes, you can just tell lol like when Will and Sonny reunited in 2018 or when he received so much backlash for Stefan and Abby’s multiple personality.

Well, I think you're in real safe territory there! Most people seem to want "bad people" to get hit smack in the head, hard with karma if not worse. I think we enjoy seeing evil be punished!

And, speaking of Leo I find it really cringeworthy that he thinks its okay to climb into bed with someone who is asleep because he is "lonely" or feeling pitiful or whatever is his excuse. He has no sense of boundaries at all!

The best thing about Friday's show was Tripp and Dimitri.

Watching today's show.....Greg Vaughn is seen in flashbacks with Nicole and seconds later recast Eric appears.

. No voiceover just white letters explaining the recast.

Leo and Dimitri look so stupid together.

How long is GV out?  The replacement is decent and cute.  It was funny they were using Vaughn in flashbacks today though.

Why the hell is Xander proposing to Chloe?  They hardly know one another and haven't said I love you or anything.  Super random.  I am glad Xander thinks good parenting is talking to your son on the phone occasionally as well.

Nicole has some awful hair, but I would honestly say LG's Sarah has the most unflattering haircut in all of tv.  It consistently looks horrible.

    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
    • It does seem cheap and lazy for this show to have just one family. Passions was heavily criticized but it was nicely structured with a total of four families.
    • I think it was definitely a surprising reveal in the storyline. I had a hard time appreciating Evan because I couldn't get behind his interest in Amanda. But that's because I never thought Sandra Ferguson made her a compelling character (although to give her credit she occasionally had decent emotional scenes with Mac or Rachel).
    • I'll even go further... I'll make her re-think BeLief and create a new patent. Brooke needs stuff to do. Anything other than beg or be in her panties. We need her to be creative. But sadly Bradley has a very low opinion of these characters. To him Brooke is nothing more than sex and scandal... or a pathetic doormat. Ridge is nothing more than a chauvinist pig that needs to pit women against each other to feel like A MAN and Steffy is nothing more than her father's guard-dog. I don't even want to open my mouth about Hope. She is such a fiasco in my opinion... I will not suffer if they kill her off. Bradley pooped on her character and now it's too late to fix it. Annika is great and I would hate to see her go, but slutty Hope was not her thing. The vibe was missing.
    • I've seen Jason interact with Mitch and annoy him. That's as far as I recall. I didn't even have a slight idea that Evan had a vendetta against Rachel... That came as a surprise to me. I thought Evan was Iris's dog and that's it. Now he's definitely more interesting.
    • Thanks for these. I can't recall -- did Evan's vendetta have any position on Mitch, or was it all about Rachel? @Maxim have you seen any Frames intreracting with Mitch in any way?
    • Thank you for the tag! It's always a pleasure to see these little pearls of memories.
    • Uh-oh. Today just might’ve been the first Paula/Jeanne stinker. I have a feeling whose fault that might be though. So, Doug III is getting a job at the Pub?  It’s good to see him interact with other characters. I enjoyed his scenes with Roman, even though the talk of Frankie and Max seemed a little random. And it also could be really interesting now that Tate knows. Days really need to start pushing their rivalry again. We need some follow up from the punch. Tying it all to Holly, to Sophia’s pregnancy, to the guys that Doug III owes money to could be good.  But yeah, wayyy too much Leo again in today’s episode. Seriously, has anything changed with this nothing character? I thought it was all Ron’s fault, but maybe Greg Rikaart is (partially) responsible for Leo being so insufferable.  And yeah seriously, Rafe needs to throw all of these people out of his house. Including Gabi

But I do wonder who’s the mysterious voice that Gabi overheard with EJ on the night he was shot. Based on yesterday’s episode, I have a suspicion.
    • Add me to the group of people who think that Brandon has improved. He has. There's no doubt about it. Especially compared to the beginning. And he's improving in a way that... it makes me think that he realizes what the issues are and is addressing them. Of course, he's no master of acting at this point... but I don't cringe as much as I did. And I've seen people in Bold... I won't even have to name names, because everyone knows who they are... who are becoming even worse than what they were offering in the first place. So... I'm happy that in BTG... people are actually blossoming and improving. It surely means that the atmosphere is creative and nurturing talent.  BUT and it's a big butt... his relationship with his husband is still so lacking and ghastly. I am craving to see more action from these guys. I want to see Smitty's character. If he has any.
