Of course, if it were any other industry, the trade press would want to know what these women (and other executives) knew about Alarr's misdoings and when they knew it. I doubt we'll see any follow-up of that sort.

I think co-EPs is an excellent idea. There really shouldn't be much business with Sony.  I just outlined what I would say is an overview. Obviously they are things many people are thinking, not in any way unique to me.

1. The investigation should have been by a totally uninvolved party, not Sony.

2. The recommendation should have been immediate termination, not a written reprimand & training.

3. Follow-up investigation should be finding out who knew what when. Ideally that would be happening now.

4. More firings.

5. Hire a full-time PTSD counselor & give them an office at the studio.

And, new co-EPs would be named just as soon as people could be vetted & a decision made.

I think the only thing tricky about "new co-EPs" is that their production model is so different. Nobody is 6 months out on taping but them. And, I don't think anyone else is doing 8 episodes in each week. But their whole staff is accustomed to it & the new guy/s would just learn quickly, on their feet.

I don't believe Greg Meng is a production-producer though.  I believe he was money-producer on the business side of things.  When Greg was a Co-EP, Noel Maxam, Lisa De Cazotte and Albert Alarr were also Co-EPs.  I'd say just promote Janet and let her be Co-EP to run the day-to-day operations.   Then promote Randy Dugan from Producer to Supervising Producer, Sara McCormick from Associate Producer to Producer, and someone from the production staff to Associate Producer.  No need to bring any from the outside.

I agree - with DAYS having such a tight budget and slightly oddball production model, I don't see them bringing in someone from the outside unless they all of a sudden decides to up the budget in a significant way (which won't happen - the only reason it survives is because it produces so much content for Peacock at a cheap price). I also don't really see any experienced outside producers wanting to deal with DAYS's production model and pocket change budget.

The production value has gone down since its move to Peacock. What happened to the extra money? The show looks like its produced by General Dollar, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar.

The wardrobe budget comes from the dollar stores too. Everything worn is so hideous.

    • Is there anything in print or fan lore or info about Don Stewart & temperament or behavior? Of course my brain could be playing tricks on me.
    • “On ERICA versus RACHEL, Erica was a very unique character. ... Rachel was a lower-class Erica, her mother was a cleaning woman, and her goals were not nearly stratospheric as Erica’s. Rachel just wanted to marry Russ or somebody with money. What Erica and Rachel have in common is they thought if they could get their dream, they’d be satisfied. But that dream has been very elusive.”– Agnes Nixon, Creator, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, ALL MY CHILDREN, and LOVING So my takeaway from this, plus knowing the characters, is that both Rachel & Erica schemed for acquisition. They wanted to acquire romance, husbands, prosperity, a kind of low-level fame or notoriety.  Am I correct in thinking that Carla schemed for safety, camouflage, to keep from getting caught & so for survival? Or did she also scheme for things similar to above?

    • Paula and Jeanne’s first time writing Alex and Stephanie. It didn’t seem like there were any changes in Alex at all lol but I can’t help  but think that that’s more on RSW than the writing. I didn’t see a big change with Stephanie either, but I did enjoy her scenes with Kayla, whose character has gotten so much stronger since last week. I hope we get to see a lot more of their relationship, and their relationship with Steve as well. As for Steve and Shawn stealing the drug to try to save Bo, idk. I don’t dislike it, but I just don’t know lol but I also think that it is time for Steve to pass the torch on to the next hero.  And finally, Javi showed some kind of spark! I was a little worried in his first scene today that he was going to continue to be so obsessed with Leo, but him demanding that Leo drop the investigation into Rafe and Gabi could actually be pretty interesting. I don’t think that would’ve happened under Ron. And if we’re forced to endure Javi/Leo, let them at least have some kind of actual conflict, instead of the forced, biased crap that we were subjected to. And speaking of Leo, one year ago today, he got Dimitri’s letter

Btw, why is Gabi so beholden to Javi? Cousin or not, if I was her, the minute he said to her, “If he goes, I go”, I would’ve been like  Also, are they going to go there with Philip and Gabi? I’d prefer that than Gabi getting involved with Alex.
    • She does look good in blue. I wish they'd do more with her hair, change it up the way JMW does now and then
    • Hahaha - this is hilarious (and a ton of wigs at use!). The closing shot!!! LOL
