As they say in Bangladesh, totes mcgoats (aka I agree)

GH has such a weird relationship with legal authority.  The spies are constantly trying to eschew their superiors in order to get illegal convictions.  The police commissioners from Burt Ramsey to Mac Scorpio are either corrupt or former eco-terrorists.  The rich constantly threaten to bribe judges to win custody of their children.  And, of course, the most eligible bachelor in town is a mobster who won't sell drugs, but once owned a strip club with teenage dancers.  As an audience, we're never supposed to root for people who value civil rights, just those who want justice for personal reasons.

Idk, I get why Ned is annoyed.  Not because he cares about Drew/Carly, but because no one including his close family members believe him.  Plus, not only is he being blamed, but everyone's acting like whoever turned them in did a horrible thing when Carly/Drew are the idiots and the people breaking the law.

That's when you need Tracy to step in and say, "What is the MATTER with you people!?  Have we forgotten that Drew and Carly COMMITTED. A CRIME?  If Ned hadn't have turned them in, I would've!

"Ned and Drew are Quartermaines, and Quartermaines do not rat each other out!  End of!"

Remember: it wasn't the break-in that brought down the Nixon administration, it was the clumsy attempt at covering it up.

Agreed.  If Ned had a few allies saying you are all idiots and no one cares about Carly after everything she did to the Q's for the last 25 years it would be nice.

Carly/Drew aren't victims.  They are stupid.

I swear GH just has such a warped sense of good and bad and it is Carly/Sonny/Jason's fault.  I like (and have often loved) Sonny, but he's a pretty crappy guy.  It's weird the entire town thinks he's great.  Same with Jason/Carly.  The show's moral compass got so twisted so long ago that it's probably hard to right the ship now.  But Ned shouldn't be the bad guy if he turns in people actually breaking the law.  A hypocrite?  Perhaps, but turning Drew/Carly in isn't inherently a bad act.

Again, I think the show's morality is just so far gone that because this is small potatoes on the list of crimes Carly has willingly committed we are supposed to be on her side.

Morally, Ned trying to save the jobs of hundreds of ELQ employees and thousands of ELQ investors by avoiding an SEC fine should be celebrated over the need to maintain a romantic relationship between a man with a computer chip in his head and his middle-aged girlfriend who has already been married five times.  And, Olivia, of all people, should recognize that fact.

Does it matter though?  Ned didn't start this.   I don't really know how all this works, but Olivia would have to actively help cover the crime.   Ned recanting won't do anything.  Even if Nina recants the ball is already rolling, so I don't know how they could stop it without committing another crime by getting rid of evidence or lying.

At best, Drew and Carly would have to pay stiff penalties to the SEC and the U.S. Treasury.  At worst, they would serve prison time - and for some reason, I can't see either Drew or Carly or both going to jail, so they'll end up doing the former, which would be anticlimactic, lol.

Ned is annoyed so that further down the road when the truth comes out, he'll have an axe to grind with Nina too

    • Good Morning, this is still funny to me but I totally enjoyed what makes up "DemetriKane" so unnecessary, who cares?!!! Glad you like the Emma Peel derivative story.
    • Christian Streaty penned today's Day's script. https://www.linkedin.com/in/christian-streaty/
    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
