I do wonder if she and Chandler would ever do a hallmark movie together since he's done a Christmas one this year. It would be nice to see.

I'm assuming that's why Sami was heavily featured too in the Days Christmas movie.

Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna's "Real Housewives" connection was used to draw their viewers to "Beyond Salem".  Ali Sweeney used her Hallmark movies connection to draw her Hallmark fans to "A Very Salem Christmas".

Finally watched it!

I enjoyed it. Will and Sonny are actually pretty good writers, strangely kinky with the way they wrote about some of their family members but still good writers

It was nice seeing characters in different situations then what we're usually seeing. A shakeup in many storylines is what the main show needs now more than anything. Gabi/Brady? Tripp/Chanel? I don't think I would mind them.

I love that they had Deidre Hall say the epigraph again. You could tell she had a big smile on her face as she was saying it.

It was great seeing Nick again too. Him being there reminded me of what a mistake it was to kill him off and then bringing him back as an evil zombie, when his storyline, his rivalry with Will, etc. could have played out for years.

And yeah, I loved the drag and strip show too  Days really does have the best looking men in daytime You could tell Ron's been dying to write something like that for years. I'm a little surprised we haven't had more strippers on Days under Ron's pen  Though I do have to admit that having Johnny strip with his father, and while his mother and grandmother watched was a little awkward

The ending with Will and Sonny was nice. They were such a sweet, dorky couple in this, and I liked it. I hope the ending means that Will and Sonny will eventually find their way back to the main show. They’re desperately needed on this canvas, along with a lot of other people. I have so many story ideas for them and I'm sure a lot of other posters on here do too.

I hope this means we'll see more Days content on Peacock in the future.

    • GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!   I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?   I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.
    • I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
