Lauryn Hill is diamond status. She reigns supreme in this category, lol.

Over in the UK, this was a #1 hit for Martine McCutcheon in 1999 a few months after her controversial exit/firing from EastEnders. In fact, I’m keen to believe the only reason it hit #1 there was due to the circumstances surrounding her exit, lol.

 

He was on B&B as Raymond for a while....

 

The most popular example in the UK and Australia would be Kylie Minogue. This was her first #1 hit (and debut single internationally) from 1987.

 

More ex-Neighbours actors who followed Minogue and turned to music. Not with the same success though.....
