I was just singing her praises upthread. She’s been excellent. She’s got a gutsiness and fire to balance out the ice queen demeanor.

Hmmm... now with Evan back on the canvas as an angry psycho and with what's going to happen to Charlie next week, maybe my suspicions about Ron Carlivati's biases may have some truth to them.

Because after she left AMC she was incandescent and disgusted that she got killed off that way. She has said many times that the writer/producer team at the time hated her and wanted her death - despite having been on the show forever - be as humiliatingly pedestrian as possible.

 

 

I agree with everyone. I can live with them killing off Laura in theory but for her to be killed in such an unremarkable way to further a bad storyline and a pretty dreadful character that will be gone in 18 months does not register as the death worthy of a legendary character, recast or not.

It is reducing a core of DAYS history as a footnote in the B-level storyline of a mediocre villain. Really insulting.

That's what I've been saying. Yes, I think they're both hot lol but they're both really talented actors regardless of that and they're being written as irredeemable. Why them when so many other villains get a free pass?

Exactly. I'm with you on this. I see it too. I mean, I enjoy them as psychos, and I don't want anymore 'redemption' because Ben has left a sour taste in my mouth, but still ... it makes you wonder

 

And yeah, they are hot, but I like them because they can actually ... act. And both have surprised me by how good they are. I think both are insanely better than Robert Scott Wilson, who the show goes to great means to prop. Just saying.

Absolutely. The Romeo and Juliet episode proved that lol I fast forwarded it the first time it was on, but I went back a few days later just see it what it was like. Couldn't get through it 😂😂

Quite a hot couple, and with both of them being such good actors, it would have been nice to see. Sadly, it was never meant to be.

I’m not here for the Evan twist.  BK is really good and I thought they could rehab the character given enough time... never mind!  Lol.
