Jack and Laura's affair suddenly makes all kinds of sense, lol!

SAY WHAT??  Is he Gordon Grey's son?  If so, then why da fuq did they drag up the David Hamilton murder case again?

I'm not saying I'm not down with Laura finding a long-lost sibling, but...Cyrus?  He's a short-term villain who has outlived his usefulness -- but, hey, when has THAT ever stopped Frank Valentini?

When some people just can't let go of the '80's, you get crap like B&B's twisted homage to "Mannequin."

Yep, and get this: Colonel Sanders Tad is Cyrus' brother and Laura's half brother also. I said this in the GH thread, I do like Laura's past being used, but this seems so thrown together and disjointed that you can tell that this was not in the original story projection. Plotting long term is always better.

Ugh.  I adore Michael E. Knight, but his character and insta-connections to Cyrus and Laura are complete misfires.  And they missed an opportunity to see if he and Genie Francis worked well as a romantic duo, NOT as a pair of half-siblings.

LOL!!  Lord, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Mannequin Hope turned up pregnant in the new year.

But seriously.  That's always been B&B's number-one problem: stuff that could be really good gets wrapped up in a hurry, while stuff that needs to be over and done with goes on forever.

Not to mention, totally not needed on a show weighted down with extraneous characters (with DREADFUL names) and byzantine plots.  Chris Van Etten and his co-head writer need to learn they are NOT Wisner Washam.  They don't know how to write a show that has enough characters to fill a freaking phone book.

I only read recaps.  But Zoey getting a sister. When the Avants were far better from when I was watching.  Carter on B&B still no one wants him. He's better looking than 99% of guys on daytime right now and they just won't give the guy a chance.  Pathetic that Scary Spice gets a better chance.  Awful.

    • They are idiots! It seems crazy that Leslie is inserting herself so much into this investigation but everybody is falling into her traps. I find it to be an interesting back and forth and I'm still not completely sure who will win. I have a theory but I'm going to wait for more to develop before I say more. I feel like Haley has been more on the sidelines so I'm enjoying this new desperate streak she appears to be developing. I'm curious how it'll manifest overtime. I also agree with Dani that I am not convinced she's pregnant. I think she's trying to get pregnant but really just see's herself fading into the background and wants attention and validation from Dani and her family.
    • Thanks for sharing; the set, wow. Ten times better than the "penthouse" she lives in now (is that a surprise, though?).
    • I'd be happy to!

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.
    • He also was following Holly May 22, 2025 per update (link to post) from @JAS0N47
    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
