I watched the latest episode, and (no spoilers) does anyone have some time jump at about 5 minutes and 15 seconds in? If not it must just be my connection. It's in the middle of a conversation between Wanda and Vision.

I'd go back and check again. Some of the 'cuts' in the show in prior episodes are deliberate bc of Wanda warping the 'episode' when Vision rebels. I didn't find anything around there.

It was incredibly thrilling for me to get to see Wiccan's original Young Avengers costume onscreen.

The kids are great; I had forgotten that in addition to remembering Billy/Wiccan from The Haunting of Hill House, I also saw Tommy/Speed in Z, a decent Canadian horror film from last year.

I guess now we know why S.W.O.R.D. hasn't contacted any of the remaining Avengers re: Westview - they have something they want to hide regarding the crisis, probably related to their doing R&D on the Vision or Wanda, or both. Shades of John Byrne's Avengers West Coast run in the 80s, when an international intelligence community cabal disassembled Vision, leading to Wanda's first breakdown and the loss of their 'magic' twin boys.

Evan Peters clicks well with Olsen. Others have theorized his Pietro/Peter (as he was called in the X-Men films, having been adopted by an American family) is actually Mephisto or some other entity in disguise, probing for more details about what Wanda knows or if she's onto him. I don't know, but I don't think Wanda is what's behind all this.

Agnes is still clearly Agatha Harkness to me. She seems to display more awareness at some times than others.

The Malcolm in the Middle opening was great. The title card is my new phone wallpaper. I never thought I'd see all these characters together as a family.

“Super Powered Individuals.” Just [!@#$%^&*] say “Mutant” already!

Evan Peters is so damn charismatic and brings so much energy to his scenes. Really hope he’s really Quicksilver and it’s not a red herring

I'm waiting for all the episodes to drop so I can binge this, because I have no patience for Disney's slow drip.

That said I am crestfallen that Aaron Taylor-Johnson isn't in this, and that he's been replaced. I felt even in his one appearance in Age of Ultron that he had great chemistry with Elizabeth, and they really sold the chemistry of being close siblings who had been through collective trauma together their entire lives. Peters just isn't the same, and kind of ruins the dramatic weight of that storyline and damages the pathos of what Wanda experienced in Ultron and Civil War. But I guess it kind of had to be him, as the original version would have been too sad, and he would compete with Wanda's grief over Vision.

That's condescending as hell.

I know what the MCU is setting up for (we all do honestly, they aren't being subtle about it), that doesn't change my opinion on the topic, nor do I think it takes any weight away from what I expressed.

And yes, that is Hahn singing the chorus of the song at the end.

    • It feels like the show hired Hank Northrop first and are still deciding what to do with him lol. I don't have a judgement on the character yet, but this non-story (so far) has been happening for at least a month and he's only made 2 appearances lol.
    • I know Anita mentioned that she no longer was investing in the trust, while Leslie had stated that the interest was multiplying at a decent rate... but I do have a feeling she'll wipe through the trust in a short amount of time with the amount of spending she's doing. The show always throws in tiny nuggets of foreshadowing and having Anita's remark and Eva warning her mother not to overdo the spending tells me that Leslie will be blowing through that money eventually.
    • I honestly don't care if Laura is friends with Sonny.  She's been friends with him for decades.  The way she goes about the friendship is stupid.   She has no sense of self-preservation or awareness about the optics of parading her friendship with Sonny around town.  She practically celebrates it.  There's no reason in the world she can't just keep the friendship low key and explain they share a grandchild and frame the relationship that way.  A lot of Laura's choices, like getting into a public fight with Dalton, just make her look silly and like a fairly incompetent mayor. Carly is another PC lady that's starting to look silly.  I know she's explained her plan a lot, but it's still stupid and moving at a glacial pace.  If Joss is 45 by the time her revenge plot unfolds, what's the point?  Just dump Brennen and move on please.
    • On that same note, it's astounding to have mobster Sonny in the same office with Mayor Laura chatting it up about their mutual grandson. Think about the reaction if John Gotti and Mayor Eric Adams had a friendship

?? I guess the Logic behind Sonny & Jason acceptance is like when i saw a documentary where FBI agents said they'd rather deal with the mafia than terrorists or cartels---they're the "lesser of 3 evils". Anyway I'm about 30 years late on this convo.
    • Im confused. Does Jessica know anything about June's relation to Tyrell? At the start of the episode, it seemed like June was gonna slip that he was her son but she caught herself but later in the episode she referred to him as "my boy" and Jessica had no reaction like that wasnt a surprise to her No, Anita was putting money in the account every 6 months but we werent told how much was in it when Leslie became a beneficiary. The show has set it up that it was multiplying based off the interest so that its really worth quite alot now. I dont buy it but thats what they've told us
    • What was the point in Lori's return as Mrs. Max Hollister? That little story never made much sense to me.  Were there plans for a permanent return? Or even a new family with her as the matriarch?
    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
    • Ooooo A Liam episode? I'll watch it later today. They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.
