GH was supposed to be preempted Thurs Oct 1st for baseball.  The baseball game got rained out.

Therefore, GH is airing a NEW epi Thurs Oct 1st.

The GH twitter account and also Frank V. tweeted about it.

(They're airing on Thursday the epi they had tentatively planned to air Fri Oct 2nd).

oh.. Edit.  I see SON already tweeted this info out.

TBH I feel as if she ran her course years ago but it's bizarre to see her just float around town barking at people all day after soaking up airtime for so long. I thought they were going for Sam/Brando early on but I don't think that's happening anymore. At least, I can't see it. She's such a pathetic character though.

Interesting episode today. Things actually happened lol

I thought it was pretty clever that Nelle gave the actual letter implicating Julian in the baby switch and everything, to Ryan. Hopefully he gives it to Ava quickly.

Not only do I still see chemistry between Dev and Cam, but I now see some between Joss and Trina lol pairing them would be a really good twist.

Also, it looks like the writers finally know what to do with Brando and he's gonna end up being more than just the town stud.

And good God, do I feel so bad for TJ. He's being written as so happy and dumb that it's actually kind of sad. Molly has ruined that poor guy and I hope he dumps her when it comes out that she slept with Brando.

Really dumb conversation between Dev and Cam.

Dev told Cam that he had to tell both Joss and Trina that he had no interest in either of them since he couldn’t choose who he cared about. Huh? And why didn’t Cam tell him to go screw himself for the ridiculous “order”?

GH never knows when to kill off a villain.

Now Ryan is back and again controlling people from an institution? He gets to use the phone any time he likes and is permitted to threaten visitors with no one listening in on his craziness? Yeah, sure.

Jackie being Chase's mother and Finn's stepmother reminds me of what they tried to do when they made Oscar a Quartermaine; trying to tie a character to likeable established characters in order to keep them on the show.

Chase is likeable, but Finn, I don't really know lol

All of this.

I like Chase. I'm so meh on Finn. I'd have no problem with just Jackie/Chase but of course Finn has to be involved. LOL. Sigh.

I don't really mind this. But once again Elizabeth goes without a mother, so I can agree it's some weird effort to tie them to the canvas which I usually do roll my eyes at. I'm mixed I guess.

    • That's how I feel. Beats could have been played for the past couple months wherein Dante and Gio interacted and had a difference of opinion -- or something. I don't know. I do know that this crushing rant that blames everything on Gio is absurd. -- Reading over all the comments here about characters and couples, it's kind of amazing that we have any show left considering the number of times actors and writers and execs were given influence to make major character and story decisions. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
    • Lol. But Jeffrey was weak to mama. Leslie can go dead because anger is a great motivator via Martin defending HIS mama and just not taking ish altogether. This ain't how it should be. They need not run the show like this. It's too noticeable.
    • Oh, I see! You posted this on the general retro soap thread because of the voiceover.
    • Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
    • I loved those scenes, lol. I thought I was watching a stage play. But I do hear what you're saying.
    • Jason47's episode summaries clarify everything. https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1990-1999-t14806-s150.html The construction company is "AJ Construction" (AJ = Adrienne+Justin).   Jencon Oil was building an oil refinery at the construction site.  This was adjacent to the park. Kirk Geiger played the character Chad Webster. The character Chad was an actor in the movie being made.   The child friend with Shawn-Douglas is his cousin Andrew Donovan. A few episodes prior, Andrew and Shawn-Douglas were at the park playing hide-and-seek. They wandered off where they shouldn't have gone, by slipping through the gate onto the construction site.  Shawn-D fell into the hole at the oil refinery. There were several episodes of trying to rescue Shawn-D.  Finally Carly rescued Shawn-D, but he was discovered to be deaf.  Andrew felt bad, but Bo and Shane both understood that it was an accident.  Carly later taught Shawn-D sign language. Shawn-D was played by Scott Groff. Andrew was played by Bradley Michael Pierce. pics here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070404163013/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/shawnandrew/shawnandrew.html Larger context here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.htmlhttps://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.html
