Anybody having trouble seeing certain shows?

You have to upgrade to premium to watch some of their content

I'm laughing because the free content is nonexistent. Why bother with the false advertising?

I just joined and clicked around a bit. There's free stuff available. As expected, the older stuff I clicked on (Carol Burnett, SNL) was free. This Is Us was free. Everybody Hates Chris. Some newer shows have the first episode free only. Some things are free for a limited time. I think the interface could be a little clearer about what's free vs. not.

I'm probably not going to use it much (just yet anyway) because they aren't on Roku yet and it's easier to watch some of this stuff that's already available via my Roku channels, cable on demand and Amazon.

I don't know if it extends to the Amazon Fire TV box/stick/TVs, but Peacock has finally inked a deal with Roku. You can now access the channel - if you have a Roku - in their Channel Store and add Peacock to your home screen.

It's only on Roku.

The Amazon firestick MIGHT work with Roku.

 

I heard joggers passing me  yesterday discussing this very thing funnily enough.

 

But one of the girls was sure. The other not so much.

On the DAYS Discussion thread, I tried Peacock Premium, lol! However, that was short-lived as I can download that stuff and upload on my PLEX in no sweat. But, all the movies they consider as as "Premium" I already have. What's the point? I think maybe if they offered a "Live NBC TV" channel, it might make things different. Maybe?

The Black Friday deal was too irresistible to me. It just happened to coincide with the World Cup and there are some movies that I want to watch, plus I feel like revisiting the Frasier series.

I'm hearing Peacock is dumping Cheers from its line-up. I guess it has to do with the upcoming blu ray release. Another reason to dump Peacock. Paramount + still has Cheers though and so does Hulu. Not sure if it's in HD on Hulu.

Yep. In 8 days. They're dumping Fraiser too

Both shows are owned by CBS, and will have long lives on Paramount+. Additionally, Paramount+ has a "Frasier" reboot in the works. It makes sense for it to be on that service and not Peacock in that case.

Thanks! I wasn't sure who owned them since they were NBC shows.

Totally understand. In a perfect world we'd see our favorite shows on the same streamer (network) that initially aired them, but ownership plays a heavy hand in all that stuff.

The classic Must See TV lineup would be cool to play on our own time/schedule, but you'd have to have HBO Max, Paramount+, Peacock and even Netflix to play all the right shows these days. Sigh.

Agree. Which would mean, in technicality, Friends would be on Peacock and not Max, but I'm happy it's on Max over Peacock, haha.

Judging from what I've heard and seen, the reboot looks quite well done.
