Heather Tom has won more from crying than anyone and she’s terrible

A year or two ago - she knows who she’s married to - and they had her scream - and cry - he blew up the building?!!! My god no - falls to knees and bawls.  Emmy win. Abso pageant pathetic.

The two names that came to mind immediately  to me were All My Children's Alexa Havins and of course Jonathan Jackson. But the two Carly's (Tamara and Sarah Brown) were also great submissions who were mentioned prior.

Sharon Case.

And yes, MTS for sure...she could always draw me in with her sadness no question.

And double yes, to Genie on GH

Gotta go with Dano and Zimmer!

Jonathan Jackson's default is crying so I can't count him.  He's exhausting!

Omg that last JJ run, someone would say Hey to him and Lucky would already have tears welling up in his eyes it was TOO MUCH.

I agree. His Lucky always came across as a crying child. That's why I never did like him.

You have to distinguish the ones who really do cry naturally and the ones who use a chemical too induce. All the actresses on days seem to use something that makes their noses red and turns up the tears.

Kim Zimmer and Judi Evans are my top picks for natural criers.

I don't think there is such a thing as Best Criers. I think actors convey more real and more believable emotions without the ridiculous torrent of tears and wet faces. A sadness to the sound of their voices, a look in their eyes, a facial expression can be more devastating than the visual of a wet face.

On AMC, Riegel would hold her eyes open in order to tear up. There was the tell-tale lid flickering.
