Oh I absolutely think these are reasonable measures to require pre-testing and immediate repatriation is there is a positive test, I think that many tourists might decide that they don't want to go through these protocols and stay away, which I think is fine too...I mean, who vacations during a pandemic anyway??!  I've been saying this for years but as a person of island heritage, I think it is way overdue for these economies to diversify and lessen their reliance on tourism for the economy.  I know that some islands have been doing this over the last several years but it's time to kick those efforts into overdrive.

Never before have I been more vigilant about seeing my food prepared when I buy take out. A prime example of why happened today. My folks decided to take a drive, pick up some sandwiches and go to the Lake Erie shore to eat and watch the waves while in the car. Unfortunately, the Subway they stopped at in Ashtabula, OH, had NO workers wearing masks. My dad apparently gave them a piece of his mind before they went to another Subway where the workers did have masks on. How stupid and ignorant can these restaurants be???

What I mean is I'm always wary of "your country is worse than my country" or posturing types of word games.  When it goes too far without any clear plans you end up with something like Trudeau's tweet (even if it was well-meaning on his part) after Trump won leading to floods of people at the border and Canada having to deal with the influx of immigration and refugees they hadn't expected.

I only have seen concern about the current state of the United States in the midst of this pandemic based on compassion and the fact that the US numbers are shockingly horrible.

I hope everyone stays healthy and safe. Listen to the science, not the politics.

I'm not sure where DaytimeFan is from, but I echo what they said. I can only speak for Australia, but I only see compassion and worry for the US and the people there. There is ire perhaps for some of the politicians but only genuine concern for the citizens and for how horrid the numbers are.

Melbourne is where I lived for 12 years before I moved over to Europe a couple of years ago, and it is extremely heartbreaking to see what is happening down there. Most other cities in Oz have got their infection rates under control (and Melbourne was the same until this recent outbreak). So I really hope they clamp down on this and get it sorted out sooner rather than later.

On a related note, England reopened its pubs, cafes, restaurants and hairdressers today, despite the fact that the UK as a whole still has a rolling average daily death rate of 100, and new case rate of 600. As perspective, the UK locked down in March with a death rate of 50.

You can see why I might be a little apprehensive...

    • It will be amazing if we could record the skipped episodes. Did someone sent a list of the skipped youtube episodes to the guys that are filling in the gaps?
    •   I don't think they ever wanted Sprina to be popular and I don't think they will bring Spencer back until Trina is gone. They've worked hard to marginalize their black cast, and that is only increasing. Trina/Gio could have been an interesting relationship, but they would rather just whittle that character away and then write her out.
    • Daytime belonged to CBS. They would have been making a lot of $$$ with that lineup. For context, this is the lineup at that time. Only one soap on ABC (GH) and NBC (TD) which was still an anthology at that point. So it wasn't until the opposition added more soaps that they became competitive. NBC CBS ABC 10:00am Say When! • Per recent Twitch live: Wraps filming his new film on Friday. Begins a new film on May 19. Will resume regular Twitch streams soon. Has a lot of projects coming out later this year. His current project has kept him in Tennessee longer than he was meant to be.
    • Has BTG been using flashbacks much? Of course, as a new show there aren't many f/b worthy moments but I think they can get by w/o having to use/recreate the Leslie reveal scene. What other 'soap' tropes have they employed or ignored so far? We've talked about the lack of traditional cliffhangers with lingering camera shots. They have done a couple of fantasy scenes. Has anyone apart from Dana had talk to themselves scenes? Montages?
    • Thank You!!! @rsclassicfanforever and to anyone else who contributed to the vaults over the years. I have dipped in/out and gotten my life watching Y&R early years. I never would had the appreciation for characters like Lorie Brooks if not for the Vaults, so again, Thanks.
    • Another lot of skipped episodes to look forward to when the time comes on Videoland. So annoying. They have skipped so many, especially in  season 15 where they skipped 19 episodes throughout the season. Is it just me or is the vault down? It's like a different error message this time so it's hard to know if it's me this time.
    • thank you for uploading the rest of season 12!!! I hope i can get them soon the links down! Thank you again for posting the B&B classic episodes to revisit!!!!
    • Hmm, okay.  BTW, my only problem with Kai & the surgery story is where is this guy's family? And, another BTW, I think I may have inadvertently added to that rumor from last year about a male descendant of Justus Ward. You see, that is an idea I could really get behind! Like I would pay to see those scenes. And, true, I did hear it ... [sheepish grin]
