Soap Actors Famous Relatives

Slick Jones mentioned in the Soap Hoppers thread that Patrick O'Connell (Neil Everest GL) was the father of singer Billie Ellish .

That got me thinking about actors well known in soaps that had siblings/spouses/relatives etc that had made a name for themselves in other areas.

Hope you can add to this list.

To begin

Maeve Kincaid (Vanessa GL) is the sister in law of Meryl Streep.

Joan Copeland (Andrea SFT, Monica HTSAM etc ) is the sister of playwright Arthur Miller (Death of A Salesman etc) and one time sister in law of Marilyn Monroe.

Hugh Franklin (Charles AMC) was married to author Madeleine L'Engle (A Wrinkle in Time)

Over to you guys...

Great thread! Some big ones off the top of my head:

The late Christopher Lawford (Charlie, AMC) was the son of Peter Lawford and was also a Kennedy scion (the nephew of JFK)

Scott Evans (Fish, OLTL) is the brother of Chris Evans, aka Captain America

Rhonda Ross Kendrick (Toni, AW) is the daughter of Diana Ross and Motown founder Berry Gordy, half-sister of Tracee Ellis Ross, and sister-in-law of Ashlee Simpson. Through Gordy, she is also the half-sister of Rockwell (“Somebody’s Watching Me”) and Redfoo (of LMFAO).

@ChitHappens I'm surprised I remembered her so quickly.  Gwen wasn't exactly a favorite character of mine, lol.

MLB Chicago White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito is the son of Lindsey Frost (Betsy Stewart Andropoulous, ATWT) and Rick Giolito (Nick Castello, ATWT)

Judy Lewis (ex-Susan, SECRET STORM; ex-Barbara Vining, GH), who also worked BTS as a producer (TEXAS) and writer (SFT), was the daughter of Academy Award winners Loretta Young and (now it can be told) Clark Gable.  (IIRC, she was conceived during the filming of 1935's "Call of the Wild.")

Steven Ford (ex-Andy, Y&R) is, of course, the son of the late, 38th President of the United States, Gerald R. Ford; and his wife, Betty, whose clinic has helped countless, high-profile celebrities get off the pills, booze and needles over the past few decades.

And Clementine Ford (ex-Mac, Y&R) is the daughter of legendary model/"singer"/homewrecker/"actress," Cybill Shepherd.

    • I do agree that a revival of EON would work, if it doesn't fall into doing all of the typical soap opera tropes... which it became guilty of in the final few years of the show with the over abundance of Raven/Sky at the expense of the actual detectives, police, etc. And I know it was mentioned earlier that Raven had lost any true connections on the show with the death of her on screen mother, and the loss of April/Draper/Deborah.. and I do agree with that. I actually thought the show would have done something with the Shelley character that could have connected her to the Raven character.  There were a few scenes where the two would have scenes and size one another up before they would go their separate ways.. so I assumed perhaps they would have been revealed as half-siblings and/or perhaps cousins.  Alas.. not to be.
    • It definitely flowed beautifully. So much that I was annoyed when Vanessa/Doug because I wanted to get back to the party. I know it was intentional to build up tension and suspense. It worked. lol. I'm glad it was there in hingsight because it gave us that great conversation between Doug and Vanessa. Foreshadowing? And yesss!!! This episode was sooo old school soap giving beat after beat after beat leading up to the unveiling of Eva as Ted's daughter. And we still have plenty of fallout/aftereffects to work through.   Speaking of...Bill, Bill, Bill lol. Good to have confirmation HE was the scary lawyer.   I'm sure I will have a busy Monday, but I can't wait for it. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more. Probably Anita vs Silk Press Sheila tbh. And yes, I feel they will be matching each other 'blow for blow.'
    • And if they go there, it could also be tied to Johnny completely cutting him off, possibly going to work for Titan, etc.
    • @AbcNbc247 maybe it is just that they've gone to that well too often, and I don't like when DAYS goes dark, but I'm OK with EJ abusing drugs, and just skipping the whole sobriety part. Side note: experiencing hallucinations of my son killing me would be enough for me to never want to take a pill again.

    • Part of the reason that Courtney worked at OLTL was because the show had an actual character for her to play.  One that was somewhat different than her character on AW, and after the way she was treated over at AW.. it had to have been nice to be courted onto a new soap that actually valued your contributions.
    • I figured the "long" was already implied
