Members DramatistDreamer
I can't even get through reading the summaries and spoilers, like I used to. It all reads as b-o-r-i-n-g. I don't know have how people slog through episode after episode.
Members LondonScribe
And apparently, Josh Griffith has been given a 3 Month extension as Head Writer? Please register in order to view this content

Members BetterForgotten
If that’s true (source?), it sounds like they’re using that time to find a new HW and will dump his ass after the 3 months is up.
Members Khan
My uneducated guess: if the rumor IS true, then they HAVE hired a new HW. (God, I hope it isn't Patrick Mulcahey). However, for whatever reason, he/she/they isn't ready to assume the reins officially, thus leaving Y&R without a HW for an extended period of time (perhaps, the first time ever in its' history). Ergo, they've given Josh Griffith this contract extension in order to ensure a smooth(er) transition. In the meantime, as Josh wraps up his "stories," he might be laying groundwork for stories that his successor(s) wants to pick up on once he/she/they is officially in charge. Again, though, that's an uneducated guess, based on nothing more than the little man in my stomach.
Members KMan101
I think it's inevitable he's going soon. I can buy them extending him 3 months as they transition.
Members LondonScribe
On another thread within this board. Think in the Spoiler section. I hold my hands up as a messenger/carrier of speculation (in this instance, if unverified at this stage) Please register in order to view this content
Members Paul Raven
If JG is going, who is left to replace him? The same few writers are being recycled and newbies eg Mal Young have been failures. There is still a chance to turn the show around creatively to some extent, but whether ratings would respond is another matter. Does anyone have anything good to say about Griffith's run? I tried, but only negatives came to mind..
