To the surprise of no one, the loathsome Greg Abbott is using the Uvalde tragedy as justification to terrorize schools even more than before.

It's mindboggling how this can happen over and over and yet nothing (or at least very little) is done to prevent it.

I can't imagine how you all must feel who have to live with this constantly.   :(

I hope I never in my life have to hear about DeWine being a moderate. I had enough of that crap with Kasich.

UES is currently trending because of the tragedy of a woman being shot and mile as she pushed a baby in a stroller and the Upper East Side of Manhattan is a wealthy predominantly white enclave. Harlem had a mass shooting last weekend with nary a word on SM. It certainly did not trend. Perhaps if the epidemic of gun violence had been taken seriously and not just dismissed as a “them problem” as it plagued inner cities, we might not be in this position today, living with a veritable Sword Of Damocles hovering over our collective heads.

Just as I had suspected, this tragedy was a result of domestic violence in which this woman was targeted. It was not an act of random violence. People who are claim this issue has nothing to do with guns clearly lack the ability to see the forest for the trees. What on earth do they think he used to end this young woman’s life?! And he had a history of DV, which had already been reported to the police.
