I've always hated how Billboard does the Hot 100 charts when it came to combining remixes into one.  That's a big reason why Old Town Road has the record now.  Justin Bieber even came out with a "Bad Guy" remix to try and get Billie Eilish to #1 and prevent OTR from breaking the "Despacito"/"One Sweet Day" record.

IMO, a remix should be counted as its own, and not added to the original song.

I'm really happy for both Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish. Staying #1 for 19 weeks is phenomenal. But also stubbornly clinging to #2 (returning to it time after time after being pushed down a slot by a new song for a week or so) and then taking the #1 spot after months is a testament to just what a huge hit Bad Guy is.
