Members ChitHappens
Sounds like a good idea to me! Why would you want the same guys? Half of them couldn't even act.
Members John
Maybe the older can recur i wanna see where they are today
Members DRW50
Does the original article mean to imply the UK version wasn't successful by saying it only ran 10 episodes? That's not how it works over there. I grew to enjoy the US version, but I do know times change. I just don't know why they need to have a reboot. Why not just a brand new show? And why is this on Bravo, a network that treats gay men like purses, not human beings?
Members ChitHappens
I think with some shows, a continuation is not a terrible idea. Rebooting is not always a good idea.
Members Soaplovers
I think a few of the older characters should appear on the new version.. to show the generational differences between the younger gays vs the older gays.. It would be an interesting angle to explore that could mine stories for many seasons if done correctly.

Members Faulkner
RTD’s involvement is heartening. He’s a fantastic writer. I’m assuming this version will be more ethnically diverse than the earlier ones, but why Bravo? They certainly can’t have any explicit sexuality.
Members YRBB
Good news. I was JUST thinking the other day I wish we had a show like Queer as Folk on the air. Bravo may be trying to get more into the scripted drama game.

Members YRBB
LMAO. I guess we would be missing out on a lot with nudity not allowed.
Members EricMontreal22
I was one of those people who thought the CowLip QAF was a pale shadow of the UK original (though I admit it could be ok as a trashy gay soap) but... Nothing about this seems like a good idea to me. Wasn't Davies also an exec producer (he later admitted "in name only" for the US series?) I mean writing wise I think the man can do little wrong, but (and I happened to love Cucumber/Banana which he mostly wrote and seemed like a natural QAF continuity) Edited December 18, 2018 by EricMontreal22
Members YRBB
Please register in order to view this content I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to it as CowLip QAF before! lol I admit, I have yet to watch the non-CowLip version yet. I must, soon.
