Stephanie Forrester told Stephen Logan "say hello to Beth for me" as she was aiming a gun at his face. That was a riot.

ugh...that's why I hated her those final years....<_<

I used to read DL a lot but never saw their soap threads (other than the trolls and gay porn threads and Broadway stuff it all kind of blurs together anyway). I did read and post at TWOP for years. Sometimes I look back and wonder why, but there were good times. Aside from the Y&R thread, which was a shitbag hellhole.

The best TWOP threads were the ones only a few people posted in, especially for the soaps.

I miss the message boards at IMDB. I lived for those and visited daily. You could find out some juicy stuff there and hilarious comments. The same thing for the long gone Jump The Shark web site. TV Guide bought it and shut it down.

I enjoyed the IMDB boards as well, and nothing comparable has ever popped up on the internet. The CMT general-interest boards were fun too, until rightwing-nut fanatics descended en masse and started flaming normal posters into the ground and the mods shut the boards down. MediaDomain's soap boards were good too, as was GLBuzz.

I remember once on SON (possibly the old site), somebody wrote "John McBain looks like he smells like ass."

Harsh but succinct.

I think most of the women probably have that very distinct perfume smell (that makes you nauseous if you hang around them too long) and the men (especially the young 20 somethings) wear like very heavy colagne that again is toxic to breathe in....

I have to admit anytime Ryan Lavery got dragged, he was called everything under the sun, some of the best were "Rage Monkey" lol and they'd drag Cam's "acting" too

Moviechat.org  has a lot of the old IMDB  comments - message board threads.  I don't know if they swiped them or what.   But if you are looking for an old IMDB thread to reread ,  you might check that site out.  But really it's not the same as IMDB.    I'm sure the Game Of Thrones thread at IMDB is one of those threads that helped to get the message boards shut down.

I swear,  the Brokeback Mountain threads got the message boards at CMT wiped out. The hysterical insanity that the movie engendered among "religious" conservatives on that site was breathtaking to witness.

It's sad when lunacy takes over and ruins a good thing.   LIke SoapDope,   I really miss the IMDB boards/threads for the gossip and the latest.   But the site I miss the most was the  Sony Pictures  Days Of Our Lives site.   I miss all the posters,  the beautiful banners and all the wonderful artwork.   Plus the intelligent conversations about soaps and our favorite couples/storylines.

the vicious things said about Drake Hogestyn starting in 1989, when his acting went south of the equator.....had me howling with laughter. also Ronn Moss. I never watched B&B consistently, but I have seen him act......and when I read one comment that said "There are no sets or building left because Ronn Moss eat them all in his scenes today" I fell out.

IMDB got so toxic, and the mods went years IMO without doing anything about it, that they shut all the boards down. i have wondered what that did for traffic to the site because I got so much news and info from there. but, we had one dude who would write ideas for Halloween and post them in all the Halloween film threads. we knew he was lying, but he swore he got this info from ABOMB.com. which to my knowledge doesn't exist. but there were some soap classics there......like the thread about Patrick Duffy's hair in the first 4-5 seasons of Dallas, including a scene where he was outside and his hair was short, and then when he walked inside Southfork his hair had grown 2 inches.

Does anyone visit imdb anymore? I used to go there multiple times a week to check out the message boards, but I have not even been back since the boards closed.
