Just finished Ackley Bridge. Season #4 drops in quality. It's just ok, invaded by a sea of new faces. While none of the new characters are bad even Kayla. They end up domaining the series. Many of the older characters are reduced to extras. Sam, Spud, Hayley and Rukhsana suffered from this the most. The show feels like it's covering the same old ground. Season #5 does vastly improve in quality. While never reaching the glorious highs of the first three seasons. Through all this Mandy, Martin and Kaneez grounded the chaotic goings on.

Watching Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. There are really no surprises. It covers the same ground. Seen in a multitude of docs and movies. Yet it's very engaging and well executed. I do think it unintentionally glamorizes and sexualizes the murders. The episode spotlighting one of Jeffery's victims (Tony Anthony Hughes) who was a deaf mute, was one the series best episodes. The soundtrack of mostly late 80's jams is great.

Still on The Good Fight (seasons 4-5 kinda went off the rails, with some good moments mixed in). S6 is somewhat of a return to form. Andre Braugher has become a good addition, even though that show likes to run a joke into the ground, and Audra McDonald is actually eclipsing Christine Baranski as the show’s MVP. (Not through any fault of CB, but again, this show doesn’t know when a joke has lost its freshness. Audra keeps going from strength to strength. What an incredible screen actress she is! Funny, sexy, strong, PISSED OFF—she does it all so well.)

Oh lord...not Ally McBeal! lol. Because from what little I've seen of CB on THE GOOD WIFE, she definitely played it to the hilt so Ally could be...exhausting from what I remember of that show.

Good to hear about Audra. It moves up in my show rotation on your recommendation.

Great Kiwi Bake Off Season 4 right now

Shortland Street September 2022

Smallville Season 6… sooo good.

Home and Away

the amazing race season 20… I forgot what kind of a crybaby Rachel from Big Brother was. I never watched TAR regularly and started like 3 years ago and now I’m on season 20.

    • I mentioned that last week and I am glad Tate and Sophia just realized that today lol.  I think the show is just tying up some of Ron's loose ends.   You would think Brady, Holly or even Marlena would have perhaps pointed out the age thing to Tate at some point. I am not sure I like this shift in Sophia's characterization though.  MK played Sophia as someone who always defied her mom's rules-she just didn't get caught.  She was openly trying to steal Tate from Holly with no shame, showing up at the Horton cabin in bikinis to seduce him, and blackmailing Holly to work all her shifts at the Bistro.  Once the recast started the show has acted like Sophia's lived in her room, sheltered her entire life lol.
    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
    • I never had much of a problem with Brandon Claybon's performance as Martin. He has gotten much better though. While I enjoy his confrontational scenes, I must say his lighter, and carefree scenes from Thursday's episode are the ones that stood out most in the last 3 days (to me).   I agree with all of this!
    • I know that Secret Storm had moved back to the 4/3 PM timeslot in the final months on air, so it's possible that they were trying to employ new techniques/elements to lure the teen demographic.   If that episode was around November/December 1973, I do wonder if the owners (AHS) were still trying to shop the show to other networks still.. or if they had accepted that the show was going to officially go off the air in Feb 1974 at the time of this episode airing.
