Remember how Pratt used to have a 'disaster of the week'?  This feels very much like that, except it's more like a 'family tragedy of the week' and I'm including the poorly plotted domestic violence storyline in there as well.

No wonder people laugh off soaps. Seriously. I wish they pushed the envelope in a way that wasn't just shock value. Soaps can be SO valuable but many have spent the last two decades going through the motions ...

it ain't gonna stick. Just more busy-work flop storylines to brush off and forget about 6 months from now. I don't remember the last time a soap did a SL that actually stuck...? Hmm.

Exactly.

 

Part of the reason I can grin and bear it is that fingers crossed it gets undone or it's a red herring anyway cuz Abby never did the second DNA test to be sure the first one was right.

Agreed!

I'm so over soaps changing paternities of characters for shock effect. It's tired and played out. It didn't work for Jill. It won't work for Jack. 

 

Just stupid.

Jack looks constipated. Not to the mention the whole movie theater set is over the top, just like MAB’s movie set fiasco.
